The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion!!!!

The game has been out for quite some time. But yea, I got the game. I never got around to beating it, mostly what I'm doing now is the Dark Brotherhood quests (not that I'm playing Oblivion ATM).
 
The dark brotherhood is probably my favorite guild, but yeah it's a pretty ridiculously long game....i'll probably never finish it.
 
It was ok, but then I played Morrowind, and realized how much dumb down Oblivion was. I hear it can get better with mods, but I had it on the 360.
And on a side note.

Yes, Oblivion certainly gets better with mods.

None of these are unbalancing or ruin the main quest; they just add SO MUCH that's missing from the game. I consider FCOM to be an absolute essential for *anybody*.
 
I've played it on 360 a while ago, but I just got a copy of it for PC. Might have to start playing again! :)
 
I bought it on the 360, after over a year I completed pretty much everything. I'm now level 53. Possibly the best game I've ever played for replay value, and there's so much to do no single acount ever becomes boring. I've recently bought and completed every official mod. I think the god-like things you can download onto the pc version ruin the game, so I traded my copy of it back in for the 360's Game of the year edition :)

So mod authors twist your arm and FORCE you to download every mod, huh?
None of what I've got installed is game-breaking. In-fact, FCOM fixes most of what Bethesda broke with the character development system.

Not what I was implying. What I did mean was that by ignoring all the uber-modded stuff (Like this) there was very little seperating the PC version from the 360, and i generally find the combat system for the 360 easier. My computer wasnt top-end either so I deemed it more enjoyable getting an upgrade for the 360 in the form of GOTY edition, rather than putting up with more loading for very little return. I suppose it's down to preference.
 
It definitely shouldn't be rated M there's nothing really bad in it. You should convince your parents to let you buy it =P
 
even those quests weren't too bad. except for the whole....you know....murdering. hmm...still, you can kill plently of stuff in rated T games.

It's also down to how small children might get scared from all manner of demons and monsters jumping out at them at every corner. Plus the violence is pretty constant- perhaps it was just deemed a little too mature.
 
I love this game and always play it

i have it for both PC and Playstation 3

The best bit about having it for the PC is the console function and ability to make the game revolve around you and adding mods

Strangely mods are not illegal and are actually much encouraged [Don't know why]
 
I'll have to try some of those crazy mods they have and see how they work...right now the untouched PC version is working just fine for me.

I think I did manage to complete the main story line, but it took a lot of me just sitting there saying "Alright, just beat this portion and you're done for today." and stuff D:

Wait until you hit the final thieves guild quest, it's the longest in the game. If i remember correctly it takes over 3 hours to do, it's a nightmare. But after you get the gray cowl, which is an awesome thieve's item:
*Detech Life 120ft
*Fortify Sneak 25pts
*Feather 200 pts

Plus any crimes you commit in the cowl are removed when you take it off, so it's basically a free jail pass :)
