I was looking at The Best of Pokemon Adventures: Red book online and I wondered, is it just one of those cheesy "Best Of" collections that some publishers do or some real Manga that fits into continuity?

Have you ever come across these collections? If so what are your opinions?

Yeah, it's one of those cheesy "Best of" Collections.

It's just random chapter from Volumes 1-3 (Red) and 4-7 (Yellow) collected into one book. Nothing really special or continuative. Pure crap.

I have both of them, JUST because they're the only Pokemon Special mangas still being sold at stores where I live.

Isn't it confusing like hell?? I mean, for the ones who never read it before. You can't have a real storyline, can you?

I once read that they don't reveal that Yellow is a girl.

    I was reading a review of the Yellow book, and it is apparent that Yellow is not revealed as a girl because the reviewer continues to refer to Yellow as a boy. I had to correct the reviewer on his profile ^.^;

    This is it
I read it doesn't reveal Yellow's gender on Serebii.Pretty stupid, considering the best of Yellow is her mad transvestie skills, plus isn't Yellow's gender supposed to be in the this collection, I mean, it's supposed to be the Best of Yellow!

Hah......you know in the last chapter where Red lowers Yellow onto the ground? Yeah, well since Yellow's true gender is never revealed, it looks REALLY gay.

Remember, it's Japan. That translates to DELICIOUS SHOTA for them.

Anyway, the books have a LOT cut out from them. Team Rocket is almost entirely cut out from the Best of Red.

I have both. They don't. You'd think what would be considered 'the best of' in the Yellow arc is when Yellow's revealed to be a girl, now wouldn't you? :/

I told my boyfriend that and then I showed him...his facial expression...oh wow, it rivals that of Red's.

    Poor Yellow is flat.

That's why she reminds me of...nevermind.

If she would dress more like a girl...gees. We already know, so no need in hiding it any longer. >.>

Oooo. I found a translation error in TBORed. There's pictures of Red, Blue(male), and Green(female). But, they didn't translate Blue and Green's names, so Blue is female and Green is male...which is how I refer to them, so no problems with me.

I just bought Red, and it's pretty cool despite missing some stuff, but it shows you almost everything, I would have liked to see some more of the Rocket story though. Oh well, money well spent.

The Red book is a LOT better than the Yellow book. The Yellow book cuts out WAY more stuff than the Red book, so it gets kinda confusing if you haven't read the real volumes.
