Hi, I'd really like your opinion on this.

I know with pokemon logic and the poke anime universe, no one really "dies", seldom sustain injuries, and for the most part humans and pokemon are virtually indestructible.

My question is why are people who only just meet Team Rocket and Ash's group are completely nonplussed, do not care at all when Ash and the gang or THEY THEMSELVES send two human beings and a bunch of pokemon flying miles away up into the sky via a massively destructive explosion or physical concussive force. They don't even blink twice.

Yet, they show concern for the well being of random strangers or any other minor character catching a cold or falling off a horse or a tiny tree. Why? Prior to meeting team Rocket there is no way blasting off was a common place occurrence in their daily lives. It would be cause for some concern. If Ash's mom, pikachu or togepi or cute girl of the week were to blast off, they and all the main characters would be losing their minds with grief and panic.
Is it just logic for a lazily written high turn around kids' show?

    Thanks!

    First...
    Spoiler:

In all seriousness though, I think that you're putting a lot of thought into something that's supposed to be a funny part of a show made mostly for kids. Don't kill me adult fans...

hey now, just cause it's an animated show made for an age range of like 6-12 don't mean we can't revel in discussing nonsensical aspects of it. just saying "because it's a kids show" actually sets the standards for kid's shows really low like. if everyone keeps saying kid's shows aren't meant to be serious, or have a real plot, or be interesting to older people as well, then they tend to become pretty boring even for kids. if that's the belief of the public, it becomes the belief of the creators and producers and writers, and kids aren't given the opportunity to explore more dramatic or different themes and ideas via the medium. give kids some credit and learning opportunities (ノ´ヮ´)ノ*:・

the logic behind TR's departures out of universe can simply be stated as "because they are ineffectual baddies". in part, blasting off continues to tell the audience that they are silly and easily beaten. real, effective antagonists are never defeated in such a comedic and simplistic manner. in-universe, the reason nobody cares is "because they are baddies". any time TR blasts off, they have committed some crime and therefore, in the eyes of these characters, deserve punishment. since in universe, people are incredibly resilient, it's not a big deal- the characters are confident TR ain't gonna die and they might have learned their lesson.

Dude, you're overlooking it. Blasting off is merely comic relief.

as i said previously, the fact that we know the base out of universe reason isn't reason not to speculate! and the question wasn't "why do they blast off", it was "why do other characters not care that they blast off?" it's very different!

I wholeheartedly agree with the idea of not being too nursing when it comes to criminals doing their usual bad deeds. They're causing harm to others, whether it be directly or indirect, and it's their way of getting back to these bad guys so that they might be more aware of who they're messing with and whatnot. Of course, this doesn't precisely matter for Jessie, James, and Meowth, as they're always following Ash and his partners no matter what, but in eyes of other villains, things like this does help making some sort of a statement; if you ask me, it's not such a bad way to go about.

As for TR Trio hurting themselves due to blast-off, I'm sure they have their own Pokémon and machines to protect them.
