    Swampert@Leftovers
    EVs: 170 HP 170 Sp Def 170 Atk/Def
    Modest
    Ice Beam
    EQ
    Surf
    Rest/Roar/Endeavor

    Please help.

First off all, That is **** swapert. Cursepet is the way to go

    Swarmpert@Lefties/Chesto(M)
    252 HP/129 Attack/129 Special Defense
    Nature:Impish/Careful/Brave
    Trait:Torrent

    ~Curse
    ~Rest
    ~Earthquake
    ~Rock Slide/Surf/Roar

    :P

try this new set i thought of
looks good on paper, not tested tho

    Swampert (M) @ Petaya Berry
    Trait: Torrent
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SAtk
    Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
    - Substitute
    - Surf
    - Earthquake
    - Endeavor

sub on the switch ( or not ) and keep subbing until petaya, torrented surf or endeavor.

Here's what I came up with for the set you suggested, the EV's look real nice in my opinion :D

    Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Torrent
    EVs: 44 HP / 28 Atk / 156 Def / 124 SAtk / 156 SDef
    Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
    - Ice Beam
    - Surf
    - Endeavor/Rest/Roar
    - Earthquake

It gives him a whole lot of defence, nice Special Attack, and a nice Attack stat.

His HP is set so Leftovers gives you an extra 1 HP back each turn aswell :P

I would go with Rest if I were you, he can tank like that :P.

Here's a set I personally like using for Swampert, may aswell chuck it in..

    Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Torrent
    EVs: 44 HP / 176 Atk / 96 Def / 96 SAtk / 96 SDef
    Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
    - Substitute
    - Focus Punch
    - Surf
    - Earthquake

You could opt for Sassy Nature if you wanted for some extra Special Defence.

Looking at Swamperts sets and movepool has got me thinking.. :D

I realize this is a little late but,

    Pert@ Lefties
    Evs: 240 HP/92 Def/178 SpDef
    Brave(+Atk, -Spd)
    ~Curse
    ~Quake
    ~Beam
    ~Rest

Takes hits like nothing ever seen before. Use with beller

Subpuncher swampert? :P Every thing can be turnerd into a subpuncher these days.:P

Not everything, I was disappointed when I found out Exploud couldn't Subpunch (He can't Focus Punch).

Definately not cool, he has hands that you know, punch.. so yeah.

He has a decent Sp.Atk stat aswell, so Subpunch + Sp.Atk woulda been nice on him.

    Oh well.. you get that.

Thats dumb,it should be able to subpunch.

I know, and so should Metagross, since it can Thunder PUNCH.

Anything that can PUNCH should be able to.

And meta dosent even have arms :P

... Is there sand in your eyes? The four Beldum that make up Metagross are basicly its arms. What suprises me it that Metagross can Dynamic and element punch =|...

Swampert shouldn't have so much Sp.Atk if all it can do is Surf and Ice Beam. I mean, what is it really gonna catch off gaurd or even outspeed =\.

"Thats of no use to anyone because its not strategic, its just an ingame Pokemon. In other words, you're post is just spam."

    Now now, it's all good.

kantai's set would work pretty well in-game you know, and after all the section is called GB Strategies and Movesets :P

But, kantai, if you were to bring that on Netbattle, it would lose out due to not being able to gather enough power to kill anything.

That doesn't count though, the Pokemon CPU thing lacks sense =(...

I know, but we can't auto assume people are suggesting teams for online battling since most of the new people here don't know you CAN battle online.

    sry that set is horrible

    Curse, Surf, Ice Beam, Earthquake
    176/68/56/0/152/56, Brave Nature

Curse, HP Bug/Rock Slide, Ice Beam, Earthquake
    240/68/56/0/0/144, Adamant Nature.

heres a good move set and nature this is also my swamphearts

    swampheart:100:item:mystic water nature:sassy
    waterfall
    surf
    strength
    dive

You don't want more than one move of the same type, for battling. So you'd replace Dive and Waterfall with better things: Earthquake, Ice Beam. Rest, HP Bug?!?, Curse.

Your set looks more like a SwissArmyKnife set, for traveling, not a battle set (it's all utility moves, which are mostly - except for Surf - weak in battle).

Anyone have good sets that don't require an Egg Move (Curse)? Is LH's
    - Endeavor/Rest/Roar set decent? And does it really make sense to Curse up just for EQ?
