3rd Gen Swampert Breeding

Every time I try and breed Swampert with something else (to get mudkip)
i dont the mudkip i get the females baby (the pokemon)
how do i get mudkip?

Whenever you breed, the offspring will be of the female's species. EG Male Swampert and Female Blaziken breed. The result will be a Torchic. If you want a Swampert, your Swampert has to be the female.

Questions like these should be asked in Simple Questions next time.

EDIT: The Pokemon also need to be in the same egg group to produce an egg. But seeing as you managed to receive an egg, then you've got the right egg groups, So no worries there. Heck, ignore what I just said...all you need is a female Swampert since the egg will be the same species as it's mother.

actually, anything with a gender (except Latios and Latias) can breed with ditto to get an egg with the baby being the parent who isn't a ditto... that often helps.

Don't forget, some Pokemon without a gender can still breed with Ditto. Metagross, Electrode, Magneton are just some examples.

Anyone can defeat the system. Although it won't be legitimate, a few codes will do it. Nothing can stop the world of cheats...well, almost nothing. Cheationg devices are like the Napster of games. I could care less...unless it becomes illegal.

Genderless Pokemon breed. The only exception are the legendaries such as Rayquaza, Kyogre, Lati@s, Mew/Two, Legendary Birds/Dogs, Celebi, Deoxys, and of course, Groudon. :P

Things like Metagross, Magenton, their pre-evolved forms, can all breed.

U can get a girl swampert by restarting your game when it is a mudkip but if your far then that's outta reach so.. uh listen to wat the otha's say ^_^;
