Do you have any strange, quirky habits, thoughts, or behaviors that may make people who don't know you (or who do!) side eye you and wonder what it is you drank this morning? Share your strange with us! If you've already replied, yet discover something you didn't quite pick up on until after you originally replied, please share that with us as well! I want to see some of the strange things some of you may do!

The only thing I can think of is that I check the shower curtain every time I go to the bathroom to make sure there isn't a serial killer hiding in my shower. Then I panic that he may be behind the door instead and immediately turn to check. Every. Single. Time.

I show up to places upwards of half an hour early because I'm paranoid about that and would rather relax on the floor outside of the room waiting than constantly worry about not leaving in time in my room on my computer.

I like to think of my steps in an up-down pattern for no discernable reason - like left foot is up, right foot is down.

I pop/crack every joint ever - All three finger joints, my wrists, my elbows, one shoulder, my neck, my back, sometimes my knees, my toes, and even once in a while one of the unmoveable joints in my foot.

You know how you can sort of grab things between your big toe and your next-to-big toe? I can't sleep unless I'm barefoot and grabbing one of my big toes with the other. I just can't. It's uncomfortable for me not to do that.

    god yes.
if I see something on the floor by my feet I make a habit to pick it up with my feet, even if it takes countless attempts to do that, I will keep on trying until I succeed.

I also always have to play with something at the computer; I have a USB with a plastic cap that I play with, a knife that I click open and shut, a pen to click, an elastic band, and a USB wristband that I play with too. I used to chew metal at the computer, but passed out of that phase.

I was sure I had some but I was having trouble coming up with them until I read the posts here.

Like Toujours, I way over-budget on time and leave way early for everything. I leave for and start 15 minutes early at work every single shift I do, even though the chances of me being late are next to zero due to the fact that I live a one-minute drive from where I work.

Like Vendak, I have to have something by the computer to play with. At one point I had these magnetic rocks that my mother bought at the toy store where she works, just detaching and re-attaching them in different places. At one point I had a metal slinky that I used to fling everywhere. My USB stick is on a lanyard so wave that around constantly like a helicopter and most recently I twirl the wand my sister bought me at Harry Potter World in America around in my fingers.

I'm also constantly biting the skin off my bottom lip. It's just a compulsive habit, I can't help it. Though weirdly my lip doesn't look all weird and gross because of it lol.

I'M SURE THERE ARE MORE SO I WILL COME BACK TO THIS LATER.

    - Pick up things with toes.
    - Bite my nails.
    - I noticed I have this horrible aversion to using the palms of my hands. I always use my fingertips for taking things, opening doors, etc. I hate touching things with the palms of my hands, apparently. I didn't notice this til I was at work and realized I rely solely on my fingers.
    - Sit in weird manners.
    - I use my tongue to mess with some snag I have on one of my teeth in the back of my mouth, so it makes me look like a freak a lot.
    - I don't look at people when I talk. I look at the ceiling or something, but I'll be talking to someone as if it's normal. I've had it pointed out a few times.
    - I get "stuck" staring at something, because I'll get lost in thought and I'll keep my eyes wherever they were when I started thinking about whatever. Has gotten me in trouble a few times.
    - I eat sammiches upside down if they are too big.
    - I make troll faces at bugs if they cross my path. Then I put on some boots and get bug spray and cuss at them as I spray them.
    - I walk on my tip toes without realizing. It bugs my mom a lot.
    - If I hear a distinct accent for long enough, I start to pick up on it.
    - When I'm tired or have just woken up, people tend to think I'm drunk. I blurt out things loudly, I'm a bit rude, and I'm just a mess. For example, we left for Kentucky at 1 AM and we stopped at a gas station around maybe 3 or 4, and I woke up. My friend Zack got up to film for the saxophone movie and he said, "Morning Syd!" and I was like "GET OFF MY DICK ZACK" lol I hope he includes that in the movie. But yeah, me and being tired is a mess.
    - I take a small part of my pillow case and make it into a point shape and rub it against my finger tips all the time. I have been doing this since the dawn of time. I know it's hard to explain, sorry. But it's probably the weirdest thing I do, but I just can't stop doing that. idk how it even started. It might have something to do with me using my fingers instead of my palms though.

That's all I can think of for now.

I crack my knuckles every now and then. I also tend to hold things between my fingers and I can even hold things with just my pinky (only if it's pencil-width for the latter).

Oh Sydian, I see we share a bit in common. I'm a bit of a nail-biter too.

Yup. People call me the dip**** who arrives too soon for e-ver-y-thing. Parties, exams, college, life in general. I hate being late at all costs!

OMG I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT DID THIS! I can definitely get to sleep without doing it, but 9 times out of 10, I'll normally be engaged in a lil' toe-grabbing activity before sleeping.

I have a reeeeeeeeeally big tendency to talk to myself, even if there are other people in the room - or in the conversation - which can sometimes weird people out. As well as this, if I'm walking with people, I have another big tendency to walk across from them and have them stop to walk around me. Not sure why, I've just always been that way for some reason. There are probably more weird things, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Oh also I'm obsessive about finding the shortest way to everything. I'll spend a great deal of time just thinking about what door I should leave a building form to make my walk 15 seconds shorter, way more time used in thought than time wasted if I had taken the wrong door. I do this walking across quads too; I scold myself when I take a path around the edge when I could've taken a diagonal because it's faster.

I thought I was the only one that paranoid.

Usually when I'm nervous, I continually brush a certain part of my hair behind my ear.

Like many people here, I absolutely ABHOR being late. >__< In high school, during lunch, we had a "ten-minute" bell and a "two minute" bell, indicating how much longer until class started. I ALWAYS packed up and left for class at the ten minute bell rather than the two minute bell, and everyone ALWAYS commented on it, like "You still have ten minutes, Jared" "Why are you leaving so early?" etc. :\

Also, when I go to bed, I have to like, twist and contort myself so that my legs and touched pretty much every square inch of the bed. Well, the part of the bed my legs are on. xD I just can't get comfortable until my legs have like, touched every part of the bed. 0_o Also, I have to constantly turn over. I get comfortable laying on my side, then suddenly I will just be like, uncomfortable and I HAVE to turn over. Again, and again, and again, and again...

I have a bad habit of chewing everything. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if just about everything I own has been in my mouth at least once... as raunchy as that sounds. I especially love chewing on anything plastic or rubber. So pen caps and those rubber band things that go around pencils and pens are common for me to chew on. It's definitely sort of embarrassing because a lot of my pens and pencils at school have been completely chewed down and sometimes someone will ask to borrow one from me and I'll hand it over to them not thinking and then they'll give me weird looks and say never mind. :(

The only other thing that comes to mind is for some reason I always feel like the skin under my nails is like stuck to the underside of my nail. So because of that I often will take one hand and put all my nails under my nails on my other hand. Either that or I'll slide the underside of my nails along my teeth. I just don't even know... it probably sounds really gross, but not doing it bothers me so much.

I do whatever comes in mind no matter how strange and odd it is...at house i like to put my hand on the wall while walking...i also LOVE standing on the highest places no matter how high it is...lots of things

Well I do tend to bite on my nails a lot when bored, that and sometimes when a blue moon arises I'd sing in the shower for the hell of it lol.

    - chewing on the inside of my cheeks. Makes me look like a ***** sometimes but I can't stop
    - MUST wear ankle socks at all times, even in bed. This habit probably stems from crappy vacuums + hardwood floors throughout childhood
    - in socks, I walk on the balls of my feet, with heels about 1/2" above the floor. Hate clomping around
    - in socks (pattern much?), facing a stretch of floor, I run and slide casually into a room. At 22 I still do this
    - whenever I'm about to write or draw something, I draw an up-and-down squiggle thing first - usually just once, but more if I'm at a crossways thought-wise

I bite the end of my guitar pick. Constantly. Even at school, I'm always chewing on my heavy fender guitar pick.

^ This a million times. Whenever I use my guitar but not currently playing it, I always put it in my mouth and start to chew it.

It pretty much started because I didn't want to loose my pick and it developed from there.
