    What exactly does the Pokemon's speed stat affect? I guess it affects whether the Pokemon can have its 'turn' first. Anything else?

    It applies to who goes first. It can also help you evade attacks easier. But that is pretty much all it is good for...not that it is bad or anything.

    It has no effect on accuracy. Although if two Pok?mon use Quick Attack, the one with higher speed will go first. Some first hit moves take priority over others however. ^_^;

    Speed determines first attack and rocks alot! Thats why I have speed raisers on all my pokemon, or nearly all.

    it only affects who goes first (unless use of quick attack or extremespeed), but i dunno what will happen if two monsters of same speed attacks, random? the fastest pokemon is electrode, followed by mewtwo but what i found really odd is that aerodactyl is really fast, even if it is a rock type! slaking is faster than my gyarados and vigoroth! (how?) the slowest ones are shuckle and torkoal (dammit, how long will it take?) equip some monsters with quick claw and they might probably go first... also, i found out they lower the enemy trainer's pokemon stats a lot because how else would my feraligatr be faster than red's pikachu and charizard?! i really dont know how they calculate it, but speed definetely shows who goes first! (electric and psychics are the fastest, sometimes!)

    fastest is now Ninjask ^_^;;
    (making it the ultimate baton passer... along with speed boost of course)

    quick claw gives a Pokemon a chance for first strike (giving its attack "quick attack" property for one turn)... so any Pokemon may go first with quick claw unless the opponent are using a first turn strike attack.

    Torkoal and Shuckle are tankers anyway... they don't need speed (I would much rather nerf their speed even more to get more sp.def/hp) so why complain about it?

    about Feraligatr vs Pikachu/Charizard... well first of all you're lvl 100 (should be at least) while they're far from full level... plus I don't think he box tricks his Pokemon so they're pretty much "wild" (another word 60 stats off maximum which you should be at) so it's no surprise...

    once again censor out swears with ****s
