Sonic RPG Announced (yes, you heard right)

    Sonic is in dire need of a serious revamp. It should go back to its routes. Speed, speed, speed, speed, speed.

    ...And here we have an RPG. One of the slowest genres in terms of speed. Lots of walking. Lots of talking. Lots of reading. ... NOT SONIC.

    Mario RPG is good. Because of the whole world its set in. But, aside from speed, Sonic didn't really have anything else going for it. The characters aren't exactly compelling.
     
    Yes, finally, I've been waiting for a nice Sonic RPG, like SOnic Adventure ( the first for dreamcast) was a great game, the story was good, and it was just great. I just hope this will be just as good ^_^.
     
    Those furries at that creepy Sonic fansite are probably squealing over this one.

    I wonder how they'll make it. They usually make hack-&-slash games (Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights). So it'll probably be an action RPG.

    Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights aren't hack 'n' slash games. They're really complicated CRPGs based on D&D...

    All the Mario RPGs have been really good, and if Bioware is in charge of this I'm sure they can pull it off. Bioware has never made a bad game, and I don't think they would agree to work on a game if they didn't think they could make it be great.
     
    This reminds me of this game I played on a website, Final Fantasy Sonic X... The cut scenes weren't so bad and reminded me of DBZ. Super sonic added to that.
