I just got Collosium today and I have a few questions.
There are the gay rangers in Red,Blue, and Green with the Johto Starter Evolutions and Serebii says I can fight them later in the game as well.
I have Crackcow (sp? XD) at the moment, and I plan on getting Bayleaf. But is there a way for me to get Quilava too?
And I accidently killed a frickin' Quagsire, when do I get the chance to fight it again? Do I have to beat the game and go back or can I just challenge the guy again?

Firstly, it's Croconaw. (And Bayleef, but meh).

Anyway - yes, you can get all three Johto Starter Evos - the two others you get after you beat the main storyline in side-quests (easy enough to follow, and you practically get told to 'go here', 'go there', etc in which you end up getting them).

And with Quagsire (and any other Pokemon in Pyrite Square), just re-battle the guy again (if you have to, walk out and into Pyrite Town first so you can do so), and you'll have another opportunity to snag it. For some Pokemon you can keep on re-battling the person, but some you encounter that trainer later on in the game, either before the storyline ends or beyond it.

Remember that there are 48 Shadow Pokemon, and you do have unlimited chances at getting them all one way or another - some of them you just have to wait a while to see again if you messed up the first chance.

Hope that helps. :) And good luck in getting them all too.

Yeah. If you miss any, later in the game...
    Spoiler:

You can catch all the second evolutions of the Jhoto starters. The one at the start and two as side quests after the main storyline. As for second chances you have to be careful because some shadow Pokemon don't have other opportunities to be caught. Example: I accidentally fainted Remoraid somewhere in the game and due to that I couldn't get it again, which mean I couldn't catch and purify all shadow Pokemon and I couldn't get Ho-oh.
As a solution I suggest constantly saving after battles and resetting the game if I miss any of the shadow Pokemon. P.S don't worry about the Legendary dogs and Sudowoodo, you get plenty of chances to catch them.

    Not true.

For ALL of the Pokemon, you have endless chances at getting them. For Remoraid for instance:
    Spoiler:

Here's a link showing where you can go for Shadow Pokemon you have missed: https://serebii.net/colosseum/2ndpokemon.shtml

But of course, it's always easier to do it right the first time, I suppose.

Since there's already a thread about questions, I might as well post mine here.

How soon can you purify pokemon? I haven't played it in a few weeks since I didn't bring it to school with me, but I just beat the grunt who beats the old guy with the (pathetic) Pikachu. I thought I could purify them as soon as I reached that area but when I went to it and pressed A, it just said some stuff and nothing happened.

In order to purify a Shadow Pokemon, you also have to completely wear down that Pokemon's shadow meter. If you are absolutely certain that you did so, then the relic should give off a light green glow when you walk near it.

I'm 100% sure my Bayleef and Flaafy are ready to be purified. Does it matter if there are pokemon in my part that are not ready to be purified? Because I did have a Mantine and Noctowl who still have a partially filled meter.

No, the relic should glow the same way. ...You might need to visit the old man first, depending on where you are.

IIRC, I just beat the grunt with the Hitmontop (he beat the old man and his Pikachu) at the shrine. Then I went and talked to the man and his wife. Then tried to go to the shrine and purify the pokemon but nothing happened.

Have you talked to Senilor as well, after Beluh (Eagun's wife) said that she'd look for a stone tablet? He's in a house closer to the entrance of Agate Village - a man and a Wobbuffet are also in the house. Speak to him and then go back again to Eagun and Beluh. From memory after that you *should* be able to purify them then.

If not then you'll be told to go to a place called Mt Battle - after that you will definately be able to purify Pokemon. But I think you are able to do so before going there.

I don't think so. I haven't played the game in several weeks and won't get a chance to until next weekend.

I might as well use this thread for this:
I can't seem to find the disk that takes you to the deep Colosseum. I have 46/48 of the Shadow Pokemon and I really wanna finish the game.

You'll find the disk you need (D-Disk) in the Snagem Hideout. I can't exactly remember where it is, but the Leader of Team Snagem should be in the same room. Can 't recall if you have to fight him, though...

Yep - that's the place. This is after you've gone there the first time and then to the Shadow Pokemon Lab again - when you go there for the second time, you'll have to find Gonzap and battle him - after doing so, in the same room you can find the D-Disk on a table, IIRC.

Thank you kind peoples. I now have the disk and will challenge the Cipher Peoples in The Deep Colosseum.

i have a list of where to re-catch the shadow pokemon if you want it,
considering I'm doing a colosseum remake for GBA you can pretty much ask me anything

Okay, thanks. I could really use a quick way to purify my shadows. For Colosseum and XD. I 12 Purified in Colosseum and about 18-22 in XD. It's just too time consuming and I want Ho-Oh lol.
