Whats the deal with this coderbreaker stuff ??

Is it similar to gameshark/actionreplay or what ?

Codebreaker uses the same code format as the Gameshark. This means that most codes for Codebreaker and Gameshark can be used on either cheat device. They won't work with an Action Replay though.

And all of thise stuff involving cheat devices should go in the one of the code request threads in the FRLG or RSE sub-forum. The way I see it, anything involving codes or cheat devices go in them. And even if they don't go in the code request threads, they certainly don't belong here since the stuff you've asked so far has nothing to do with Pokemon in general.

    Sorry about that :<

can i ask one last question ?

When I had a gameshark - it used the same codes as my action replay - they were both basically the same thing - i assume they no longer are ?

And if not - which is better a GS or AR ?

You have one of the GSAs made by Datel before the sold Gameshark to Mad Catz. The GSA was originally made by Datel (who now makes the AR), but they sold it or something to MadCatz who started to use a different code format when they released the Gameshark SP.

The GSAs made by Datel use the same code format as the AR. Datel no longer makes GS anymore though. If you have one of the GSAs made by Datel, you can upgrade it into a AR but not all codes will work on a GSA upgraded into an AR since its not the real thing.

I'm going to have to say the AR is more reliable and less problematic. I don't have a GSSP or GSA, but based on what I've read from people who have a GSA/GSSP, they all have trouble getting most codes to work.

So an action replay is the best way to go.

IS there a difference between SP and Advance versions btw ?

I wouldnt have thought so, just that you said GSSP and GSA.

    Ive only seen an AR-advance?

GSA is made by Datel and uses the same code format as the Ar. GSSP is made by MadCatz and uses the same code format as CB, which makes the codes for CB and GSSp usable between each other. That's pretty much it.

Yes. I answered that already in the last paragraph in post #4 of thise thread.

I was just making sure - some people don't know this stuff. No Need to be so snappy :P
