2nd Gen So, wich starter did you pick in Gold/Silver/Crystal?

I don't remember. It was either Totodile or Cyndaquill. I liked the water types more so most likely it was Totodile. Good times.

I think I usually started out with Totodile or Cyndaquil first. But it's mostly Totodile.

My first Silver file, I picked Cyndaquil. Fire types are my favorite.

But, I love Totodile, too...mainly cause that's my bishie's starter...and it's cute, too.

I've only picked Chikorita twice. I really like all of them, though. ^^;

Analysis:

Cyndaquil: It was my first ever starter when I picked up my Gold version. Cyndaquil is arguably the best starter in the game with it's great move set and ability to wipe the entire E4 by itself.

Totodile: I hate this starter, why? Physical attack stat over his Special stat, you notice a big difference, atleast in Diamond and Pearl he's useable to his full extent. I like Totodile but his stats just turn me away since he can't be that good.

Chikorita: Always was the hardest starter to use and pick up, having a disadvantage at the first 2 gyms due to her typing, lots of wild things that aren't weak against razor leaf, she's a challenge to raise but she can be a great tank defensive Pokemon in any of the generations.

I always went with Totodile. I thought it was cute and I loved water types. After finishing the game several times, I changed and used Chikorita. I never used Cynaquile though...

Cyndaquil. I also play the game that was formerly my brother's, and he chose Totodile, and I hacked/cheated/whatever on someone's game I found on the ground in DC... whoever it was picked a Chikorita.

In my most recent file on Crystal I picked Cyndaquil, but Totodile's my favorite overall and I usually pick him.

Such memories make me cry almost...

I remember picking up Cyndaquil and owning half the game with him alone. He was definately, without a shed of doubt, the best. Typhlosion made most Johto and Kanto leaders cry themselves. Elite 4 Lance hated my Typhlosion though :(

I dunno why, but Typhlosion has always remained my 2nd favorite Pokemon, and I always felt it never got enough love.

I pick tododile and for some reason the only thing about him i rember was i nicknamed him WATERBLAST and taught him Iron tail (but it never ever hit)
