    D/P Sprite(Blue)

    "image removed"
    FR/LG Sprite(Dark Green)

    "image removed"
    Emerald Sprite(Dark Purple o_O)

    "image removed"
    R/S Sprite(Looks like a lighter shade of the emerald sprite)

    "image removed"
    Mystery Dungeon Sprite(Grey-ish)

    "image removed"
    Trozei Sprite (Looks like a darker shade of the FR/LG one)

    Well, I have noticed this for awhile, and decided to put some reasearch on this.

    I don't think these are miscolored, since they are so easy to tell apart.
    Maybe these different kinds of snorlax relate to Burmy/Shellos?
    Maybe, Maybe not. I'm also trying to find these Snorlax(es) in the anime, because I remember seeing different colors of them before.
    Discuss.

    EDIT: Found some pics

    Bluish Snorlax

    Dark Green Snorlax

    Red Snorlax, but it was only a guy in a suit, though it could resemble a real one.

    Never noticed? I'm sure Nintendo did it on purpose or at least knew about it. Why the different colors though?

    Idk why, they probably messed up on the sprites for snorlaxs' previous to D/P. I would have to say the coloring is right on D/P, cause the latest drawing from the FR/LG snorlax matches, because its blueish.

    Well, I thought the color would be more according to the anime. Snorlax's latest appearence in the anime was in a battle frontier episode, I beleive. I have to research that. But I couldn't see how Nintendo messed up the sprites before D/P when (see the first anime screenshot) the bluish one appeared in the Kanto season. And the Snorlax in the drawing looks more...Turquoise..

    Wow. o..o Never noticed that XD

    Well I always saw Snorlax as a navy blue and white-bellied Pokemon.

    Yeah i thought that too, that they get their examples from the anime and nothing else, for graphics wise, maybe they haven't messed up at the time, cause they might have thought it was that color at the time, from seeing on the anime, correct me if im wrong, but isn't ash's snorlax dark greenish from the battle frontier. Either that its might be a shellos factor between games xD lol

    Snorlax probably got a tan or something while being gone at oaks lab xD

    EDIT: actually another thought came by, maybe Kanto snorlaxs' are supposed to be dark green in general. But wait ash caught his at the orange islands that wouldn't make any sense.

    Maybe Nintendo likes to mess with our heads. Like the question, "How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsiepop," the world may never know (what's with snorlax).

    They're always changing sprites around. I'm sure you could probably find differences like this in most Pokémon if you look. Like, look here for example:

    *pokemonelite2000 image removed* "image removed"

    D/P on the left, R/S on the right. The D/P sprite is a much darker and yellower. So you see, they change the colour palettes a bit for each game. I don't think it has any special meaning; it's just artistic license on the part of the spriters or animators. :\

    Yea, but thats still not as much as changing Blue to Dark Green. That's just shading stuff.

    D/P Sprite:
    R49, G40, B123;
    mostly a blue color.

    FR/LG Sprite:
    R56, G96, B80;
    More green, but the blue is close to it. So bluish-green.

    Emerald Sprite:
    R88, G88, B112;
    Where are you getting purple from this? The red and blue are too off. It's mostly blue.

    Ruby/Sapphire:
    R120, G120, B152;
    I can see where you're getting the idea of it's lighter that the Emerald version.

    Mystery Dungeon:
    R120, G136, B144;
    Not that gray, but still blue.

    Trozei Sprite:
    R56, G88, B80;
    Again, bluish-green.

    There's not much of a significant difference from any of the sprites listed. So like Lightning said, there no meaning to the differentiated sprites. It would be kind of bland art-wise to leave them as a single color.

    Cool now i can make a sig for my friend with my friend's favorite snorlax color!

    I noticed that Snorlax's colour would change every time he would showup in something. I figured it had something to do with where he last fell asleep. Like he was green and mossy if he slept in a jungle, black and mucky if in a swamp or road.. Course that was back when I tried to make sense of corporations trying to make money. lol.

    Hate to break it to you, but all Pokemon change colors when they make a new sprite. You see for yourself using the Pokemon sprite Generator.
