Slaking: Hyper Beam Spammer?

Slaking has one of the highest base attack stat in the game, and you can buff it up with tons of proteins . It can be used just to spam Hyper beams since it slacks off every other turn any way; is this a wise way to use Slaking?

No, because Slaking has a useless Special Attack. Just stick with Giga Impact or Return.

In the event that this is for a 3rd generation game, Slakling is definitely a good Hyper Beam spammer. In competitive play, it is more suspect since it gives other Pokemon two turns to set up, but in the cartridge games (especially for the Battle Frontier/Tower) Hyper Beam (Giga Impact for a fourth generation game as the previous poster said) is incredibly useful.
