Should I evolve my Bulbasaur?

I just caught a CP 405 Bulbasaur, and I have enough candies to evolve it. I'm currently level 16. Should I hold off on evolving it, or are my chances of finding one that's higher slim? Also, how much CP do you think it'll have by the time it is a Venasaur?

There is a decent chance you could find a stronger Bulbasaur than that if they're at all common for you but 405 definitely isn't a bad level to evolve something at. Basically unless you're desperate to have an Ivysaur right now then there's no real need to evolve the Bulbasaur until you have 125 candy saved up (enough to evolve it straight into Venusaur) and by that time you'll almost certainly have found a stronger Bulbasaur to start from. I generally save up to have enough candy for both evolutions with something like this but again, it depends on how much you want that Ivysaur haha. And for the Venusaur's CP I'd imagine around 1,400-1,700 for that which is pretty good but not too crazy for the candy it'd need.

I agree with what @Squirrel said!

It's rare for me to catch anything @ my house were I live now (vs me constantly having pokemon spawn in my last known house). So I have to be careful what I level up. I've learned my lesson with evolving 300-400 CP pokemon only to catch a 500-600Cp one. :/ Plus all the candies to save up is really nice and stress free (to me, so I don't have to be like 'NOOOOO I WANNA EVOLVE THIS NOOOW').

Like with Eevees they are such a slow spawn (even tho they say they are around residential areas I haven't found much. Only the last 3 at a walmart) I evolved my 300 something CP into a 650 Jolteon. I'm happy with this CP because I can hoard level him up and just hoard my eevee evolution.

    Hope this helped!
