    Shokugeki no Souma 2​
    Yukihira Souma's dream is to become a full-time chef in his father's restaurant and surpass his father's culinary skill. But just as Yukihira graduates from middle schools his father, Yukihira Jouichirou, closes down the restaurant to cook in Europe. Although downtrodden, Souma's fighting spirit is rekindled by a challenge from Jouichirou which is to survive in an elite culinary school where only 10% of the students graduate. Can Souma survive?

    The latest issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has revealed that the anime adaptation of Yuuto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki's Shokugeki no Souma (Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma) manga will receive a second TV anime season.​

    Last time we left off at the end of the first round of the Autumn Elections. Hoping this one will be another 24 episode season! No current date of release, but hope we get more news soon!

    Oh boy. More food porn. :x I didn't even bother with season one. Not going to bother with season two. Good food makes me cry my eyes out. Maybe I'll watch it for the fanservice, though.

    Fanservice decreases the further you go into the series, tbh. It is always there (right upto the latest chapter) but the quantity and frequency do decrease. So there's that to consider.

    Although I'd rather you give it a shot anyway. It is a good series. Food porn or not. :3

    I am familiar with the name, but I haven't seen the series yet. Not to mention I'm looking for an anime to watch, so should i start with Shokugeki no Souma season 1 ? What's the plot about anyway ?

    lel you're gonna get tortured to death, then. I'm not even someone who gets "tortured" per se, but this show still made me hungry all the time XD;

    @fanservice - it still doesn't abandon it completely so yay for that I guess?

    It is a great show. I really, really recommend it. :D
    It is a show where people settle any kinds of issues they have with other characters via a food battle - a shokugeki. Shokugeki is where they prepare food to be judged. Whoever cooks the better dish wins. It may sound very stupid and simple and uninteresting like this but they do it in such a manner that it ends up feeling almost like any battle/action shounen anime you'd watch haha. Brilliant stuff.

    I see, there are many such examples of anime to win people's heart even though having a stupid setting. And do not worry my friend, i don't judge on the basis of its cover ;p
     
    Finally! I can't wait for more of Souma and Megumi.

    The cliffhanger ending was too cruel ;_;. I might hold off from reading the manga, since the new season will be coming eventually.

    New season will adapt some really delicious stuff (hah) from the manga. Manga's upcoming content is pretty damn great (excluding the latest arc that's been slightly less impressive...).
