I have a theory of how to get a shiny ditto, considering you already have a shiny pokemon that can learn Mimic. What you do is take the poke that knows mimic to the move deleter, delete all moves besides mimic. Take the poke into battle with a ditto. Use mimic on ditto, and your poke will mimic transform, transforming into a shiny ditto. (it kept the shinyness, just went into a ditto form) Then ditto will use transform, making itself a shiny version of itself. (it transofrmed into your shiny ditto) Catch it...
    yes? no?
idk, my friend came up with this.. nit sure if it works..

Just as the fact as the shiny pokemon will turn into a shiny ditto, the non-shiny ditto will not turn into a shiny [insert Mimic knowing Pokemon here] but a non-shiny [insert Mimic knowing Pokemon here]. Transform simply copies the moves, and the Pokemon Sprite. Even though I haven't tried this, it seems more logical to me. I invite you to prove me wrong though because if this theory does work, then that's one more shiny for all of us!

They took that Glitch out after GSC

    :t354:~*!*~Queen Boo~*!*~

lol, you were telling me about this. Too bad Queen Boo ruined the point of trying it.

But what if you found a Shiny Ditto?
Will all of it;s offspring become shiny or do you still have 1/1 trillion chance of getting a shiny?

And what if your breeding 2 shinies?

I havent ever caught a shiny..so i cant have possibly tested theese out =]

No, shiny parents do not increase the chance of a shiny baby. It still follows the 1/8192 ratio. Pointless thread.

As it was said, that glitch has been fixed in the following versions after GSC, so there's not point in letting this thread open any further.
