Shinies in the Anime.

There haven't been many Shiny Pokemon in the anime. The ones that have appeared usually only appear once in the story, then never appear again. There's also alternate colored Pokemon, which are not shiny, however, this is no longer common, since Shiny Pokemon were introduced. Most of the time, these are probably animation errors. The only recurring Shiny Pokemon so far in the anime was Ash's Noctowl, and the Red Gyarados. A Shiny Metagross has also appeared more than once. What are some Pokemon you'd like to see appear in their shiny form at one point in the anime? Also, here's a fun fact: Toxicroak is often colored as its shiny pallet in the Pokemon anime for some weird reason.

I actually thought it was shiny when I first saw it.

I never thought I would see a shiny Dragonair in the anime. It's one of my favourite shinies and I enjoyed that episode more because of it.

I hope to see a shiny Charizard in the anime someday, maybe even battle Ash's.

There actually have been a rather good bit of shines in the anime.. with recent phamtump being one of my faves. I would love a main character or rival to get a shiny in new series. Maybe even a starter... Maybe the story could be something like a breeder did not like the color, so it abandoned it.. and Ash (of course) takes it in

My favorite alternate-colored Pokémon from the anime are Ash's Noctowl, and the Butterfree from the Orange Islands that were featured in the episode where Ash, Misty, and Brock meet Professor Ivy (and obtain the infamous GS Ball). The latter isn't a shiny coloration at all, but an unique design for the islands. I really like when a Pokémon is featured in an unique color style not covered by either its normal or shiny form.

My fave shiny in the anime is Ash's Noctowl, and while I don't like the colouring of shiny Noctowl it's his colour that makes him a special part of Ash's team. I really loved how he was the Pokemon that saved the day in Ash's Gym battle against Morty, after both Pikachu and Cyndaquil were taken down.

The recent shiny Phantump was adorable, and it is a shiny colour I love. It was a shame Ash didn't catch it, especially given he's been skipping getting a Grass-type this saga altogether.
