3rd Gen Scyther with silver wind

Quick question...can i breed to get silver wind on scyther in fire red/leaf green? i trained up a venomoth just for the move, but it didnt seem to learn it when it evolved, any help i greatly appreciate thanks in advance!

yes it can learn by breeding, the father must be Butterfree, Venomoth, Ledyba, Ledian, Beautifly, Bustox, Masquerain or Mothim with the move

Butterfree is your only option in FRLG. It learns it at Lv47. Venomoth has it as a Lv1 move, and I am embarrassed to say that through all my research I have yet to come across an acceptable explanation of what a Lv1 move is and how to acquire it.

And, as Slin pointed out above, the Butterfree MUST be male in order to pass the Egg move on to the baby Scyther.

Take said Pokemon to the move relearner with a Heart Scale and relearn the Lv1 move.

I don't remember being able to catch Mothim in FR/LG. (Or Beautifly, Masquerain, or "Bustox" for that matter...)

You can't, well not without trading (Mothim is impossible to trade to FR/LG).
