Ribbons

Ribbons are a neat little feature that were added to the games in Gen 3. They're awarded to your Pokemon when they accomplish certain things, such as winning the Master Rank contests, defeating the Pokemon League Champion and reaching the hall of fame, or even smaller things such as getting fully EV trained (the Effort Ribbon). These ribbons stay with your Pokemon forever, so even as you transfer Pokemon to newer generations, they still maintain all of their ribbons from older ones.

What are your thoughts on ribbons? Do you find it to be a fun feature, or is it something you've never really cared much about? Have you ever made a point to collect as many ribbons as you can?

I never really bothered that much about them until Gen 6 and now I'm obsessed with them! All my favourite Pokemon must collect as many as they can!

I love ribbons a lot, I used to collect them when the anime endorsed ribbons and contests with May and Dawn! {XD}

I love collecting ribbons. It's a nice feature to acknowledge your in-game achievements, and there's some odd ones that are just, you know there but we love them anyway.

That would be amazing! It'd be like a little timeline of your history with that Pokemon. Sadly, if they did add that, they wouldn't be able to retroactively add dates/times to ribbons you already have, but I'd still love to see something like this in the future ^^

I really like ribbons, myself. It gives great incentive to try to achieve as many things as you can in the games. Plus it's a nice way to let your individual Pokemon stand out and show off the cool stuff they've done.

Oh my god I LOVE ribbons. I don't go out of my way to collect them as much as I used to, and I'm not a fan of how they condensed the Super Contest ribbons. I did have the Contest Star ribbon on my Cosplay Pikachu within a few days after ORAS even came out... lol.

I had a Jolteon in my Pearl Version who I had decked out with almost two dozen ribbons. It had been from my Sapphire Version where I entered it in contests, took on the Elite Four with it, etc etc then once I brought it to Sinnoh I gave it the weekly ribbons, footprint ribbon, Sinnoh E4 ribbon, and bought all of the ribbons from the Ribbon Syndicate for it. I've been wanting to catch a Pokémon in my original Sapphire to do the same thing with that, and transfer it to my AS after picking up ribbons from each gen along the way.

... I really like the ribbon system.
