Usually I have my in-game teams in LeafGreen aimed to beat the Elite Four since it's a tougher bunch than the RSE E4 and needs to be prepared for at least a little.

One very good option is Hitmonlee. It absolutely wrecked Lorelei and has the power to help in other places too. I always ran Mega Kick/Strength/Brick Break/Hi Jump Kick. You can throw in Rock Slide too though the tutor is usually more useful for other things. You can also reset for an Adamant nature quite easily so its attacks will hit harder. Hitmonchan works too, but it isn't nearly as strong.

Lapras is another good Pokemon that you can reset for. Even if it's outsped, it easily overwhelms all of Lance's Pokemon. Here I go for a four attack moveset with Surf, Ice Beam, Psychic, and Thunderbolt. This gives it a lot of utility against the champion as well. Psychic helps with Agatha if you're desperate there. And yeah, you do get Lapras kind of late, but about an hour of Vs. Seeker training will fix that.

Snorlax is always a good choice. Its Special Defense and HP are so high that its low Speed doesn't even matter, and it hits reasonably hard too. Its physical movepool is good and it also gets a cool toy in Yawn. It can also crush Agatha's Ghosts with Shadow Ball if you can get Hypnosis to miss or you pack a Chesto Berry.

Good to see another Gen III player, haha.
