So, what do you guys & gals think about this series?

I myself love it, well the manga anyways. Never did like the english dub that aired on CN/Toonami.

Thank god that there's going to be an entirely new english dub that will hopefully and most likely will be uncut, unedited, and uncensored.

The first 2 episodes of this new english dub will be airing on the Sci-Fi Channel (March 16, 2009) Late Evening/Tuesday Early Morning from 12:00 A.M.-1:00 A.M.

    Sci-Fi Ani-Mondays Schedule: https://www.scifi.com/schedulebot/index.php3?date=9-MAR-2009&feed_req=

By the way, I have read volumes 1-30 (Chapters 1-30) of the manga via the official U.S. manga books and have watched episodes 1-12 of the first english dub (cut & edited) via the official U.S. anime DVDs.

I loved this show when I was younger. I have all the episodes on DVD and I am trying to get the manga. I wish the anime was longer but what they did of it was great.

How can you have all of the episodes on DVD when only the first 3 DVDs (containing episodes 1-12) were released to the U.S.?

Although the story is awfully cliched (light vs darkness, Chosen Hero of Light, SAVE THE WORLD FROM THE DARK KING OF EVIL, etc), the plot is surprisingly complete and well planned.
I liked it a lot when I first read it, but when I picked it up again after a few years, I was all, "Ehwut."

So, yeah. It's really great fun when you don't think too hard about it.

The manga isn't as kiddy as the anime. There's blood, and they do occasionally curse.

    huh what

Did I say that it was kiddy?
If not, then why bothering quoting my post?

Actually what was the point in quoting my post at all?

    cliched storyline ≠ kiddy storyline

The CN/Toonami english dub never finished the entire series. They stopped after barely beginning the Doryu (sp?)/Drew arc.

Does anyone know if the Sci-Fi version will go through the WHOLE thing or will it stop at the same place where CN/Toonami stopped? Because if it goes through the whole thing... I'll just stop reading the manga and watch the new english dub online (because I have college classes to go to and have to get to bed by midnight)

If anyone can help me out here... that would be great.

On topic: Yes. I love this series. I don't have any money so I've been reading the manga online since CN/Toonami didn't finish it. I'm at Rave 224 right now. Many chapters are missing so I can't keep reading it, but it's great. I love it. Definitely one of my favorite series. It makes me think of Final Fantasy, which is why I like it.

You do realize that only 51 episodes of Rave Master were made, right? There is no episode 52 and up.

    Sorry :(.

There are free ways of reading the U.S. manga books ya know.

1.) Check out manga books from libraries (Public, school, college, university, etc etc).

2.) Go to a bookstore, pick up what manga books you want to read, and then go sit down somewhere (don't sit down on the floor or stand up against a wall) and read them all, and then once you're done with them all, put them back exactly where you found them.

3.) Get someone else (strangers, family, friends, etc etc) to buy the manga books for you.

    *sighs* Okay. Thanks.

    1. Don't have any money
    2. Probably can't convince my parents to let me do that
    3. Where exactly? You mean like Borders and Noble? There's one in my area, but, who know if I can do that...............
    4. Easier to just read it online, IMO.

Thanks? How is this a Thank you situation? xD

1.) It's FREE to check out books from a library :).
2.) Convince them to do what?
3.) I was talking about Barnes & Noble/Borders, or any other bookstore that sells new books.
4.) Manga Scans=FAIL IMO. Manga Books FTW.

What kind of library? Public? I'm pretty sure my college library doesn't have any mangas.... I think....

2.) Convince them to do what?

To get them to take me to the library and do that.

3.) I was talking about Barnes & Noble/Borders, or any other bookstore that sells new books.

Can I read them there, too? Or no? Can I rent them or something like at a library?

    Meh.

    Public library.

To get them to take me to the library and do that.

You could always walk there, or ride your bike there.

Or if you're old enough, drive yourself there.

Can I read them there, too? Or no? Can I rent them or something like at a library?

I just explained how to do it earlier.

Whatever, I'm obviously not gonna be able to change your mind xD.
