    Hi!

I'm new to the forums so please forgive me if I'm doing something wrong.

I was digging through my old games and found this either rare or fake pokémon cartridge. I decided to a find the value of this cartridge from the internet. Turns out I can't find similiar cartridge ANYWHERE! The cartridge itself is black.

When opening the game it clearly shows the year 1999, and as I searched that year, I found out that this cartridge is probably released at the same time as the Japanese version of Pokémon gold. I continued to look for information about this but all of the Japanese cartridges I found were blue. This might point to the cartridge being fake. Also the text in the game itself is in English, but it has mistakes.

Me and my friends tried to find about information about this cartridge without succeeding, so I decided to find a forum and ask there if anyone knows anything about this cartridge (here I mean).
I've attached 3 images from the game into this post, 1 from the front of the cartridge, 1 from the back and 1 from the starting screen.

If you know anything please give me a reply.

I think it's fake. The label is pretty basic looking compared to how Nintendo was doing those at the time. They never put the version next to the actual Pokemon title and the exclusion of the word Version also is strange. Another sign would be the lack of the Official Nintendo Seal. They had that on all their english games at the time too. The game having a japanese title screen and english text in game is a bad sign too especially since you say it has mistakes also.

It's fake, knew it as soon as I saw it, I'm pretty sure ALL Pokémon games for Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance were in colored cases.
