Hi guys I am planning on getting Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun, Pokémon Ultra Moon alongside with Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS but the World edition.

Does anybody know is there a difference between the standard versions of the game and the World editions of the games?

Are the games still playable in 3D on the World Editions of the Pokémon games I mentioned above or they only playable in 2D?

I've never even heard of a 'World Edition'. Did some googling, found an image of OR world edition.
It has a little circle in the bottom right of the front of the box art that lists a few countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Malaysia, SIngapore):

As far as I can tell it's just from a different region (Middle east or Asia). It seems to have the same content as the normal version of the game.
No idea why they call it a 'World Edition'

It might have something to do with how the 3DS is region locked. UAE+Saudi Arabia and Singapore+Malaysia would most likely be considered different regions, so if it's mentioning those then maybe it's a version of the game that is not region locked, or less region locked at least.

It's probably not any different from the non-World Edition gameplay/content-wise and probably will work fine on your 3DS.
