3rd Gen Question about Fire Red/Leaf Green

    Are you able to get the 3rd evolution versions of some Pokemon that were introduced in the 2nd generation such as Crobat, Slowking, and Kingdra in Fire Red or Leaf Green? I'd imagine, because it would make everything very inconsistant if you couldn't. If I catch a Horsea holding a Dragon Scale, evolve it to Seadra, and then trade it, it should evolve to Kingdra... right!? Please say yes!
     
    Yes, you can. Crobat, you just got to level up +happyness. I'm not sure about how to get Slowking, but you have it right about Kingdra.

    Yes but first you need to: get the National Dex, Fix the machine on one island, and beat the e4

    At any rate, he is right, you need the National Pokedex.
     
    Erm... that's not how you get the National Dex.

    To get it, defeat the Elite Four and catch 60 Pokemon and record them in your PokeDex. Then go see Prof. Oak, and he'll give you it. The machine on One Island is needed to trade Pokemon between RSE.

    If you try to evolve the Pokemon beforehand, they'll stop midway through evolution and say they can't evolve.
     
    To get Slowking just trade a slowpoke holding a king's rock.
     
    just a quick question about item held trade evalution, does the pokemon still have the item after evalution? i've never done it as i don't have anyone to trade with.
