Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, I am new. Just wondering I have a professor oak card that says draw until you have 7 cards in your hand (are my cards on my bench part of my hand?)

cards on your bench are not apart of your hand. if you only have 2 cards in your hand the moment you play Professor Oak, you can draw 5 cards.

But really, do not play prof oak at all. He's a bad card. Shauna, Giovanni's Scheme, N, Professor Sycamore (and if you're playing expanded, Bianca) are all much better draw cards :)

The card's not a bad introduction to the drawing mechanics the game employs for someone just getting started with playing, though.

The force end of turn is a killer. Tierno is a better introduction to draw supporters I think

to be frank octillery is better(if you dont have shaymin) or even birch for that matter because 99% of the time you would like to redraw your hand by using your once per turn supporter

Neither of those are supporters and one of those is a tier one card that is unlikely to be any help to people still learning.

well my friend i am talking about comparison and how that oak card (if it is what i think it is) is not really great with supp like N and sycamore still being top tier

Yes but the discussion isn't about what is and isn't the best draw engine in the meta, it's about what is the most easy and user friendly supporter card based around additional draw power for first time/very new players. No one is suggesting Oak is even a good card, only that it has merit as a teaching tool.
