In Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, a new Pokémon Professor had been introduced to us with the name of Rowan.

We first meet him at Lake Valor, if I'm not mistaken; Barry takes us there. After some talking, he eventually gives us chance to select our starter so that we would finally be able to start our journey off. Similarly to Oak, Rowan is decently old, but he's still a major expert in the field he studies.

What are our opinion on Professor Rown--do we like him, or are we not too fond of him? If latter, why so? Did we like his game involvement? If no, what would we change about his role to perhaps make things better?

Ah, well first of all, Professor Rowan? Great theme!

I think it represents his strong demeanor, yet his willful desire to learn more about pokemon and coming in terms with trainers who only loves pokemon in the truest sense; he doesn't like to waste time with anyone else.

Honestly, if anything, I like him because I think Rowan is one of the most 'real' pokemon professor's out there -- well, while he is pretty firm with trainers or anyone else that comes with pokemon, like when Barry and us met him in Platinum, he scalded us for trying to go into tall grass, and so, he starts to question if we really do love pokemon enough for us to have a starter. I dunno, from that I'd say he doesn't like to waste his time with people he doesn't seem fit to be involved with pokemon, or if they have bad intentions, so, I suppose it was sort of like a test, coming from him? Hm. Well, he works in different ways from the other professors for sure. But all in all, he's an expert! He really knows what he's doing.

I liked professor Rowan. I would say he's my favorite, after Oak. I liked his personality and involvement within DPPt. I like that he's serious and focused. Idk, theres something about him I always liked. I wish we could battle him lol.
