We don't know, he doesn't want to talk about it :P Serouisly, Brock never mention what happen through the rest of the season!

There are actually various theories on why Brock is do distraught whenever Prof. Ivy?s name is mentioned, but the most simple one is that they had a romantic relationship and Ivy dumped him...it has actually never been revealed in the anime thus far as to why Brock is so pained when her name is mentioned. Since Brock felt so strongly for her, it stands to reason that she would have to have gone with another man or simply turned her back on him after being boyfriend/girlfriend or fianc?es. Only with something like this could Brock ever feel so terrible.

There are other, more sinister theories, but I won?t go into those...being dumped after a meaningful relationship is most likely, though.

maybe.............maybe one niight when broke was drunk..............something happened aventurelly*(spelling mistake) ........anyone agree?......
ahhahahahah...........again.........got sucked up by the lost vortex......."ahhhhhhhhhh"

    THATS Completely INSANE....
Actually the makers of pokemon ar totally wrong on their part...
Bringing up a mystrey and then NOT revealing the truth...
I bet there was a complete episode about it... and they by chance Kept it for some special day (valentines day) and then forgot..... :rambo:

I'm expecting that the producers are going to forget about Ash's dad too =P

Oh you'll see him in the last episode of the series. :P Can anybody say laziness? But really, the producers need to fill in those gaps. *Still wonders how Ash got to the north pole and met Santa, eventho that's unrelated*

I think that Ash's dad is Giovanni... who dont? :P
Back on topic... I think that Prof. Ivy become tired of Brock and kicked he out!

Im sticking with a relationship that went wrong. Or she didnt treat pokemon properly so he hated her and cant stand her name....

I heard sexual harassment. That's what I believe, as well, personally.

I dont think they would have that kinda thing aimed for 6yr olds and such. My 3 year old cousin watches it do i really dont think so...even though he has played and lokes Vice city, hes better than me at it :p

i have always thought Relationship things, but you may fin out diffrent
    Brock + ivy = relationship
Brock got drunk, and tried something to Ivy.... thats what might of happend

    might be me.....

lol, yuoure bro play Vice city! has he gone to a certain area yet! LOL

Wow, this is certainly an old subject to bring about! But anyway, I have heard that Brock's complex had to do with sexual harrassment, too. Although, I doubt drinking and intoxication had anything to do with it. C'mon, the directors and screenwriters wouldn't go that far...Pokemon's made for children and their families to watch! Apparently, we just may never know what happened to Brock while he resided at Professor Ivy's lab. He never wants to talk about it and curls up in the fetal position each time someone mentions her. It is obvious something dramatic did happen to him...but for now, it's inexplicable!

I think he got dumped or maybe Ivy had a husband who was away on a trip and he returned.

Awww...poor Brock. Personally, I think he's always so blinded by love that he can't take rejection. Maybe he tried so hard to win Ivy's affections that when she finally had to blatantly tell him to leave her alone, he took it really hard? I dunno...wishful thinking I'm sure, since I am a Brock fan.

Well, like I heard in some other topic long ago... thing about anime is that they leave a lot of open gaps alot for the viewers to figure out, or just have their own theory...

I personally believe there is no definite 'real' thing that happened to Brock to trouble him like that, and was intended by the producers. I think they wanted us to believe what we wanted to... and just hope we don't have perverted minds like some people I know...

...Backing this up, there really wasn't some unreleased episode that never made it to America, or I would've heard about it by now, so thats my personal opinon.

Skye has a point... i think it is a REAL good and healthy theory.... :cheeky:

Hmmm? but then, why doesn't he react the same way with other rejections?

I would think that because he isn't around the same girl or girls as much as he was around Ivy. I mean, it was almost the whole Orange Island season after all....
