6th Gen Primal or Mega Rayquaza

Hmm... Well this is just an opinion coming from me. I guess, despite the fact
that ORAS is a 6th gen remake version of Ruby and Sapphire (compared to X and Y),
the developers wanted to introduce something "new" (primal forme) specifically
meant for the Mascot legendary of the game, but they also wanted to pinpoint
and explain the origin of Mega Evolution through Reyquaza without bypassing the
limelight for Mega Evolution which was the introduced in 6th gen (just like the Z-
moves in 7th gen).

I'm not sure why they chose Hoenn as the place where Mega Evolution first occur
but I guess they were able to incorporate the twists of story making it understandable.
Besides, there's no green orb to begin with if we are talking about primal forme. So far,
Blue and Red orb were the only artifacts related to Primal form compared to mega stone
and keystone needed for mega evo.

I agree with the fact that there was no green orb to start with in the original series, but they couldve incorporated that in a number of ways, since they changed so much.
I remember watching a video that explained the timeline of pokemon, stating which pokemon came first etc...

Is it possbile (I dont recall) that Groudon and Kyogre were created first, allowing to change the landscape of "Pokemon Earth" to their likings. Perhaps requiring them to go into Primal Form to gain enough power. Which they used until they started fighting, which then required Rayquaza to be created, by Arceus. But Rayquaza only needed to fight versus Groudon and Kyogre, instead of changing the landscape. Hence meaning only a mega evolution was necessary.

The whole story line is quite nice to watch, but its been a while so I dont remember it much. Also don't know if it was the youtuber's own theory or if it was confirmed or not.

Nice question though, gives something to think about :)

This is exactly what I have been thinking. Rayquaza didn't have to change anything, so I guess a Mega Evolution makes sense, even though technically in legend it didn't have a Trainer to bond to. However, it just seems a bit weird to have 2 Primals and 1 Mega, I feel like they should match, haha.

Spoiler alert for Delta Episode
Spoiler:

I understand Zinnia during the Delta Episode, but didn't Mega Rayquaza occur way in the past before? Or am I just making things up haha? I wonder who the "trainer" was for Mega Rayquaza the first time.

Good point, I cant imagine there being people at the time Rayquaza was created. Maybe the idea is that he also had a primal evolution, but throughout time, Kyogre and Groudon went into a slumber, he didnt need to primal evolve. Then the bloodline from Zinnia entered the picture and Rayquaza adapted himself to the situation? Who knows :D
