do you guys think theyll do something special w the legendary pokemons in the newest game? i feel like id be dissapointed if they didnt do anything special and just a plain remake tbh... lmk how you all feel abouit it

I would love to see alternate forms for Dialga and Palkia in this game, although I think thematically naming them "Origin" forms would make more sense, as they're already primal forces - they don't need to revert back to an earlier state to become more powerful. Giratina also has an Origin form, so it'd be a bit strange if Dialga and Palkia had Primal Reversion. Primal Dialga in the Explorers games was literally just a palette swap rather than a full-blown form change, so I don't think that can really be used as a guideline for what to expect either.

I think if they're going to do these then we'll find out about it at E3 in a few days, but honestly I hold out very little hope because logically they would have been the front cover, the same way Origin Giratina was promoted for Platinum, and Primal Kyogre/Groudon were for ORAS. We are probably out of luck I'm afraid =/

I'd like to see them! Primal (Origin is an especially great name for them, as Dawn suggested) would be really cool. But unfortunately I can't see it happening - this seems like it'll be a mostly identical remake. The box art gives me a little hope with the jewel glimmer, though not much. Maybe E3 will reveal something?

hmmm... an Origin Form might be nice. *pictures the changes Giratina's Origin Form has from it's normal form onto Palkia/Dialga*
It would just be a nice bonus to me though, not something essential to make the game good.

hmmm i am not sure we re gonna see new dialga and palkia forms and that's one of the reasons y i won't buy the game. that would be disappointing anyway if they made new forms of dialga and palkia just giving them their orbs, because nothing happened in the past. why would they change their form only now? lol
also, a powered from or an original for of dialga and palkia kinda doesn't make any sense at all because those are the original forms of dialga and palkia already. and they can't get stronger, if not implying the whole multiverse story, but these remakes won't have a different story, so it's just useless.
the only good thing they could do is introducing alternative forms of dialga and palkia when they enter their own dimensional worlds, but when it comes to lore these have some problems as well. Like, why would they change form? are they like giratina? but giratina was banished by Arceus to the distortion world, does this imply they were banished as well? why? and so on...
so idk. to me it's kinda probable we re not gonna see any new forms

but giratina was banished by Arceus to the distortion world, does this imply they were banished as well? why? and so on...
theres something thats bothered me about the banishment bit, namely something cyrus said in platinum.
"Do you understand where I am going with this? This is a bizarre world. Time doesn't flow. Space isn't stable. Only that shadowy Pokémon lives here. This world is the opposite of our world-- our world I wish to change. It is like the two chains composing the strand of DNA. The two worlds must be balancing each other to remain in existence. Without one, the other cannot exist. The shadowy Pokémon must play a role in keeping the worlds in balance. That is why it must have interfered and brought me here. The shadowy Pokémon must have made this bizarre world. That's why trying to change our world disturbed it and made it reveal itself. But that is all irrelevant. What matters is defeating that Pokémon and making this world disappear. I won't allow it to interfere with me again. With it gone, neither world will be able to revert to its original state..."
given that the banishment bit comes from the pokedex, its a bit questionable i.e. marcargos pokedex entry and might have came more from myths then reality. ultimately, giratina is of distortion and is a counterbalance to the other 2 so it makes sense for his form to change into a form thats altered and unnatural to it in an environment thats not filled with distorted time-space
but if the banishment is true, it also means that a 1000 armed primal or origin arceus is a possibility given arceus pokedex

    Primal? I don't think so.
Maybe an Origin form similar to Giratina.
    That would be great =D
