PokeScape V.2.0.0 is now out!

What's different with this update?

• Story Mode has been reworked!
• Day / Night System
• 1000+ Monsters
• New evolution methods.
• New Quests / Events.
• Many new NPCs.
• Many new areas & dungeons to explore!
• UI updates.
• Reworked wild encounters & trainers parties.
• Random events.
• QoL fixes, such as more overworld animations.
• Battle Engine update & fixes.
• Many Bug Fixes.

NOTICE
- Story Mode ends at Musa Point. You can continue the game past this point but you'll begin to run into unfinished content.
- This is quite a big update compared and is a lot different compared to version 1.5.2 and below. You will need a new save file to play this version. There is a lot of new content, so it won't feel like your playing the same game twice!
- With the new update OPENWORLD MODE does not work well. If you are playing PokeScape for the first time then PLEASE pick STORY MODE.

Overview

PokeScape is based on the MMORPG RuneScape, This hack contains a story revolving around evil team HAM, the chaos elemental & Monster VS Monster Championships. Which includes over 1000+ custom RuneScape Monsters which replace Pokemon.

Features

• Story and region based off the content of Gielinor in RuneScape.
• Evil Team H.A.M.
• There are over 1000+ Custom RuneScape Monsters.
• Over 100+ Trainers Sprites & 200+ Overworld Sprites.
• Custom music for every town and route.
• Many unique branching evolution lines. Including new evolution methods!
• Custom items, moves & abilities based on things in RuneScape.
• New Typing based off RuneScape Rune Types. (this currently needs reworking so it is temporarily removed.)
• A huge overworld map & dungeons to explore!
• 2 Game Modes, Open World & Story Mode.
• Battle Engine, containing all moves & abilities up to Gen 10 of Pokemon.
• The Physical / Special / Status split
• Breeding mechanic, ability breeding two different species together to create hybrids.
• Mega Evolution.
• HMs are replaced with key Items.
• Day / Night System
• Partner Battles
• Outfit system
• …among many other things.

Different Game Modes
There are 2 Game Modes currently in Pokescape.

• Story Mode - Experience a story revolving around evil team HAM, the Chaos Elemental & the MvM Championships! (Monster VS Monster)
• Open World - This is an experimental mode where you can tackle and Gym in any order and tweak the game to be more challenging with level scaling and much more!

PokeScape is still a work in progress. But it has a lot of content to explore, which should be a good few hours of Gameplay if not rushing. Most people average about 9-11 hours once they reach the end of storymode at barbarian village. But you can explore past it, it just isn't polished.
Open World mode is also still a work in progress, where the only thing that will scale up the trainers & wild mon levels would be obtaining a gym badges or entering the debug menus.

It's funny - I was just talking to my wife the other day about how I think it'd be cool to have a Pokemon game set in medieval/fantasy setting.
This sounds like a fantastic concept, and it looks like it has some great original art. I can't wait to see what the finished product looks like.

Ah yes, the FireRed build. Hahaha, I had to change to Decomps in 2019 as the FireRed one broke back in 2017. 😅

Damnn this is crazy!!! I just got done lookin at a Pokemon/Yugioh crossover so Right when i read "Pokescape" i thought "theres no way this is a mix of Pokemon and Runescape" and there it is. Definitely trying this any recommendation on story or open world?

As ironic as it may sound, this has been an escape from the runescape drama as of late.

The music is top notch, the references are golden, and i'm definitely nominating this one for a golden gnome, maybe this year is the year!
