This is more nintendo64/p64, but since im using pokemons from the pokemon games i think it fits.
Tell me, how does a machop(yes, a machop)survive a drill peck from Dodrio? How does a gollem survive a blizzard from articuno? How the hell is Tentacool faster than my Alakazam?
    Thats all, thanks.

Hmm, is there any particular reason you're looking to survive these moves? It doesn't make sense to me to believe that your Pokemon would be able to survive those. Why do you want a machop :D?

Are you using rentals? I don't think the game actually cheats re: possible mechanics, though it gets far luckier than one might expect (status working against you every turn, accuracy rates, you doing on the low end of the possible damage range, etc.). If you take the stats of both Pokemon (assume max stats for your opponent and min for you?), is it theoretically possible to have those outcomes? My guess is yes, though I haven't tried it.

With Stadium, if you use your own team (from a cartridge), the games seems a lot fairer, and is much more doable. So my guess is just that the rentals have terrible stats or movesets. You pretty much always have to choose between an unevolved Pokemon with good moves and an evolved one with terrible ones. Beating Stadium with rentals is doable (and there are some good rental guides out there, I think), but a frustrating experience.

No, i dont use rentals, i use my own team. I dont think the game is particulary unfair, but it seems that the opponent have absolute max stats or something, given how quite a few pokemon outspeed my Alakazam, which shouldnt happen, or how a machop survived that drill peck etc.

Have you maxed out the stat experience on all of your Pokemon? And what are your own Pokemon's DVs like? My guess is that the CPU probably does have max or near-max DVs, especially if this is round 2 (round 1 seems less likely to me, but I'm not sure). I know the R2 Mewtwo has max DVs with max stat experience, so I wouldn't be surprised if something similar applies to a lot of the other Pokemon you face. Essentially, Stadium's creators couldn't program a CPU that was as smart as a human opponent, so they tilted the odds as much in their favor as possible without actually cheating, as far as I can tell.

The cpu in later stages is actually suprisingly smart, but yeah, you can still outplay them. This is R2, so i wouldnt be suprised if they have max stats. Im currently doing lvl 50-55 or something, so i doubt i have max stats, dont think i will ever bother with lvl 100, too much grinding. I will just bring lvl 100 mewtwo.

For the level 50-55, you could always do the box trick to grind up your stat exp a bit without altering your level. And Mewtwo alone should be plenty for the Prime Cup on both rounds. If you use Amnesia Mewtwo, it wipes out most stuff really quickly, even on R2.

Seriously, how the motherfucking fuck is it possible to beat masterball r2? My team is great, all my predictions are great, everything i do is correct. But every fucking body slam they do is automatically a paralysis, every ice beam is freeze, almost every hit is a freaking crit, i never get through confusion and so on.
Have anyone actually beaten it? Im 100% convinced its not possible.
The most damning evidence that this game is rigged to the max, Lapras is faster than my Alakazam....

25 out of 27 body slams resulted in paralysis, 20 of them crits. Every single hyper beam/explosion has been a crit, every single fucking one. Its impossible.

Wow...Yeah, that's ridiculous. I've always felt like the odds skew against you, but I've never actually calculated it.

I did beat the cup in R2 a number of years ago, but I don't recall my team right now. I'll update you if I remember what it is/manage to set up my N64 to check what I have on there. I think I had a level 55 Alakazam (maybe a tradeback one with punches to give it some more moveset variety?), and a few others that were easy to get in relatively little time (maybe Zapdos and Articuno?), as a bunch of my games had died by the time I decided to do it, and I didn't want to put too much effort in. I might have thrown in a couple of rentals along with the rest of my team, but I'm not sure.

This page has some team suggestions (both for Poke Cup and others) that some other people tried:

Fun fact : I have never hit a Thunder with Zapdos, in like, 20 attempts? 70% accuracy move? Lmao.
There is no way to get by lapras and gyarados, i cant even hit them.
