I Recently Got Pokemon Stadium 2 For The N64, But I Did The Pokeball Cup And Turned Off The Game. I Assumed It Auto-Saved, But When I Turned It On Next Time, The Data Was Gone And It Said I Had Never Beaten The Pokeball Cup. How Do You Save In This Game? It Didnt Come With The Manual So I Dont Know.

upon doing a little digging, it looks like it's a flash save. so it should just be saving to the cartridge, unless it's damaged in some manner.

it should be saving to the cartridge via flash. it doesn't run on a battery like the gameboy games do, but from what i've read, if the cartridge gets damaged, it likely won't save. you completed the cup, yes? i remember that while playing cups, if you dip out in the middle without putting it on hold or something (i don't remember exactly what it's called) then it doesn't save.

i found a file of the entire manual online here that might be more helpful than i am.

Hello, I've recently purchased an original cartridge for Pokemon Stadium 2 and I'm having the same problem, it's not keeping my registered sets or any settings I change in the option menu. Did anyone find a solution for this? I thought this game didn't use a save battery.

Uses a 1 Mbit FlashRAM to save, according to this website. Likely needs to be replaced.

How? No idea. Found a Youtube video of someone trying to fix a Pokemon Stadium 2 cartridge (not for this specific issue). Opened up the cartridge. Grabbed a screenshot of that.

Googled the part. Appears to be the long, black rectangle. Marked it with the red arrow.

Disclaimer: Is not knowledgeable about these kind of things. Could be completely wrong. Recommends bringing it to someone capable of repairing cartridges.
