Hello everyone! This is the project i've put almost two whole years of my life into! Sure it might seem subpar, but it may also be because i'm a student and i've been pretty much working on this by myself lol

ANYWAYS! Pokemon Minced Fusions is well, obviously a fusion romhack! It offers :
    - 253 fusions! 14 of which being megas!
    - QOL changes! Exp all, running in doors AND from the start, decapitalisation, etc etc..
    - 1/1024 shiny odds!
    - New NPC dialogues to keep it entertaining!
    - Much, much harder difficulty! Or so I think
    - Fully completable pokedex, with custom entries and species names!
    - And the rest is for you to discover :)

    - FOR ANYBODY WONDERING!!! This is the discord server : https://discord.gg/CSwUKemMVB

A special thanks goes to Sleepyjiarchi01 on discord for giving me a head start on working on my rom! He helped set up the rom base, the in-battle type icons, the IV grade and the nature indicator!
Everything else is done completely by me :)

    Credits :
    - Skeli for CFRU and Leon for LEON's!
    - DS-Style gen VII and Beyond Pokemon Sprite Repository
    - The DS-style 64x64 Pokemon Sprite Resource
    - Radical red (for some later gen party icons lol)

Anyways, here's the patch! and Some game screenshots!
Unfortunately the patch is too big for here, so here's the mediafire link for it!:
You will need a version of Fire Red Squirrels to properly patch the rom!

PS : this rom is still very much in it's first stages, but this is the most stable and best first version i could muster :)

I'm on the mGBA RetroArch core. It's still insisting I switch to mGBA, even though I'm already on mGBA.
Yeah, not digging the RTC nags that require 20 button presses to get through. There's no need to "walk" someone through setting up RTC in various emulators inside the ROM itself.

how do fusions work in this game? Can you pick and choose what fusions you wish to have like in the fangame pokemon: infinite fusion or are all pokemon already fused and you have to rely on luck to get what you want? And what ROM do we use? Fire Red, Emerald? Which game is needed?

No, this is a romhack so all the fusions are premade :) there isnt a randomness factor, since there is a singular fusion per two pokemon. And as i said in the post, You'll need a fire red squirrels rom to patch the game ^^

Yeah sorry for that, not really sure why it's happening but i'll try fixing it in future updates, but i do appreciate how it can be annoying.

Is there a document for stats changes or anything? With the fusions I presume some pokemon have stat and movepool changes. And are there plans for nature and IV changing?
Yes! Here is the document! :

Currently I haven't documented all of the learnsets and TM/HM compatibility, but here you can view stats, abilities, TM locations, gym leader level caps (not a hard cap) and all of the move changes!
And for the nature and IV changing, yes, I do plan on adding those in the future3

The Fusions look great and all but man, i'm really sorry, but the writing comes across like a high Schooler just learned how to swear and is trying their hardest to make every sentence feel like that...

YEAH.... I saw that and I turned away.
And it really sucks because... again, The fusions look great, i genuinely like the few that i've seen, and the map edits also look great. i genuinely would love to play through a hack like this but... The dialogue instantly just killed it all for me.

then ignore the dialogue you don't need to not play the game because of it, the games story is the same as regular fire red anyway

Hey! I really appreciate the feedback :) I actually AM a highschooler, so this is more of a passion project im putting my silly creativity in, so im just trying to have fun with creating dialogue lol

I love that you're not taking those criticisms above to heart, I wanted to stop by to instead drop some encouragement!

what you have so far looks great! if writing is a persistent criticism, it's a skill you can work on and improve like any other. Skills that can be honed in rom hacking and fan game passion projects that are transferable to real life game development careers. It's almost the perfect proving ground for refining those talents.

Keep up the great work and interested to see where this project goes!
