    Before I get started with all the info and what-not, I have this to say - I am dead-set on finishing this hack. I do need assistance though, details can be found here. (I need an advanced scripter, I'm decent at scripting but thats all I am, decent. I also need someone who can either edit sprites or insert them into the hack.)

    .:: Hack Name ::.
    Pokemon Masters

    .:: Hack of ::.
    Pokemon FireRed

    .:: Introduction ::.
    Unlike my last game, which I started but never finished, I am dead-set on completing this hack. And unlike my last game, this will be a full hack as opposed to a slightly harder make of the same game. The region this game takes place in is Hojho (which is essentially Kanto, 70 years after the events of R/B/Y, 67 years after Cinnabar Volcano became active and destroyed Cinnabar, and 60 years after the entire continent was covered in ash and lava by a massive eruption. Hojho is actually on top of Kanto, and the ruins of Kanto are accessable.) There are all new characters, as well as older characters that make appearances. All of the older characters, though, are named after thier manga counterparts, NOT thier game title. Each section of the region houses a set of Pokemon from a certain region - in the beginning you'll find only Kanto Pokemon but as you go on you'll encounter Johto and Hoenn Pokemon. All 386 Pokemon will be avaliable in the game. You start off with a Lv. 25 Pokemon (Eevee, Espeon, or Umbreon), and make your way through Hojho in order to... oh wait, I'll save this for the story secton.

    .:: Story ::.
    The job of the Pokemon Master is to protect and serve the region of Hojho. With the title comes a great responsibility, and an even greater sense of pride. In order to become the Pokemon Master, you must be a powerful, competant Trainer who can hold his/her own under even the toughest of situations. To this date there have been six Masters, each greater than the last. Thier names, in order, were Jasmine, Green, Breye, Sapphire, Gold, and Brice, your father. You were brought up to be a strong trainer, and your dream is not only to become the Pokemon Master, but to prove yourself to the world and to the current Master as a powerful trainer by taking on all of the Masters, as well as the Gym Challenge, first.

    You start off in Crystal Town. You just moved there from Diem Town with your parents and your big brother (Rival, whose dream is to become the League Champ), and decided to leave your Pokemon with your eldest brother, Den, for the time being. When you try to leave for Diem Town to get your Pokemon back, however, you are stopped by Professor Pine, who tells you that the Pokemon around those parts are agressive and that you shouldn't leave without borrowing one of his Pokemon first. He lets you choose one of his test Pokemon, and you set out on your journey to get your Pokemon back and become the Pokemon Master.

    In the midst of all this, though, Neo Rocket, aided by a new criminal gang and under the command of a new, seemingly unstoppable leader, is setting in motion a scheme that could very well change the face of Hojho forever. Can this new joint-team be stopped, when thier leader is just as powerful as the Pokemon Master?

    Gym Leaders so far:
    Spoiler:

    .:: Features ::.

    New Region, Hojho
    All 386 Pokemon are avaliable, either for capture or trade
    New Story, Characters
    Kanto Ruins accessable

    okeeee..... soooo how different is the story??

    Hey, this sounds nice! Wish you luck with this, I hope you do finish this. I would help, but I'm not very good with what you need.

    The screens look good but the roof of the lab just doesn't fit in so good.

    You should change the tilesets. Using different tiles for each map instead of using the original ones makes it look better. It makes it look like a brand new game so no one can tell what's the starting town.

    I'm planning on changing the tilesets for certain towns/citys/routes when I'm done with everything else. I want to have all the maps planned before I change the tilesets. As for the beginning town, though, I like it the way it is. I do realize that the Lab roof is a bit out of place, but thats only because the normal lab roof ends aboult halfway through a tile and begins with the light-green grass. Believe me, it dosn't look so out of place when you're actually playing it. Hmm... you know what, I'm gonna edit the tile instead of taking the lazy way out.

    You can't be serious...

    Your maps look OK except for the tiles. As for the story, I understand that you're trying to be a "Pokemon Master" in it, but is that all? No gyms, no rival, no criminal gang? It would be kinda boring if all we needed to do was walk through a couple of towns and then fight the big bosses of the game.

    Sorry if Im being a critic, just askin you to add some more depth into your story.

    Oh believe me, it has those and more. I just don't like posting everything thats going to be in the game... Trust me, there are gym battles and the works.

    What are you talking about reviews spoiling the book?

    Anyways, I don't see too much of a problem with the summary. Besides, the same happens with Pokemon games... but no gym fighting or Team Rocket-wannabes? That will suck.

    Maybe you should refine the plot a little. Just criticism.

    Anyways, after hearing you're going to get new tilesets, good luck! Just don't steal them from other people or anything.

    Anyways, good luck in your hack, and hopefully you'll complete it before long!

    erm...not back lah....add in some new trainerlar if can...

    Oi! There IS going to be Gym fighting and Team Rocket wannabes (a good amount of those), thats what I meant with my last post! Heh, maybe I should word it better next time. As for the tilesets, there isn't going to be much change, but it will be enough change to make the game a little more colorful and stand out from the original game. I have the plot written out in Word, and I'm liking it - the summary is just that, a summary. Pointing out only the most basic parts of the story. I don't like to get in too deep with the summary.

    erm...not back lah....add in some new trainerlar if can...
    ...what?

    Let me decode what weixeng meant, or at least part of it : He wants you to add in some new trainers if you can(I don't understand what he meant by "not back lah" though...). He's using a Malaysian/Singaporian slang. I am well versed in that.

    I don't have any new trainers in the game, or at least don't plan to add any. There are already plenty of trainers in the game, editing them is just as good.

    I'm scrapping the first town/route, changing the tilesets, and re-doing them. I might post a screen tomorrow. (The new version of the main town will be on top of a mountain.)

    Seems pretty interesting, although I can't see the images... Could you perhaps post them as attachments?
    EDIT: OK, now I see them. Those maps look really good!

    Your maps look really good. Keep up the work.

    I edited the Story section, gave it a little more depth.

    If I can get enough help with this project I'm thinking of replacing one of the Sevii sets with a whole new region.
