first off, i applogize if this concept has already been made. i know it's probably a common idea. if it has, please link me to it! i'd love to play a game like this. if it hasn't been made, id love to try my hand at making it myself. i have 2 version of rpg maker i got dirt cheap from steam sales.
pokemon farmer, as the name suggests, would be a pokemon game where you run a farm. the game would be closest to stardew valley, though without the big map, the mining, the romance, etc. this game is just meant to be a chill experience to turn your brain off to.
in the game, you start with a small barn, a small farming area, and a tiny pen. the barn is more of a storage area for items than anything, but im thinking you could upgrade it to fit animals too. the farming area is for you to grow crops. the main crop would be wheat, which you can grow an use to make stuff like bread, which you could use to make sandwiches that you could sell or eat yourself. berries can be grown too, they could be made into jams for the sandwiches, or fed to yourself or your pokemon for different effects. the pen is used to fit different pokemon, of which ive come up with these so far:
- miltank, produces milk, can be killed for meat
- grumpig, can be killed for meat
- torchic, lay eggs, can be killed for meat
if pokemon of the same kind are in a pen with eachother, they can produce eggs. only torchic can produce unfertilized eggs because theyre chickens, but every pokemon can produce eggs. you can either keep the eggs and wait for them to hatch so you dont have to buy more livestock, or you can sell them for a hefty price. im thinking theres a rare chance eggs will hatch shiny pokemon, which have better production rates.
your main source of income in this game would be from selling different pokemon products. the normal pokemon products would definitely be on the lower to media end of income, so you'd be best off selling the products on bulk. i think that selling pokemon eggs would have the highest yield considering its a pokemon.
i'm really sorry if this post is super disjointed, im not good at writing out ideas i have whatsoever. this is just something fun i thought of since i love farming games and i love pokemon :-)
