    Ok I just downloaded a clip from that episode just today at school and it was crazy no wonder they banned that episode.

    When missles were launched at ash and friends they rode a big porygon and when a missle exploded....SEIZURE FLASHING!!! YAAAAGH!

    I watched the episode or at least tried to and man it made me feel weird so I went and just covered my eyes and stoped the video.

    Does anyone have anything to say about this episode?:bandit:
     
    Yeah, don't watch it. It was taken off air for a reason. Risking epileptic fits isn't cool.
     
    I have this episode its an ok episode..abit werid but there you go. Just watch this anime as you should with any other tv programing in a bright room and far from the tv as possible..yes there are alot of flashes and if you do suffer with Photosensitive epilepsy well dont watch it or dont watch that scene but theres a few flashes before the BIG scene aswell.
     
    Stop scaring me. Where can it be found, I like to take chances.
     
    I watched it on Youtube. It does flash rapidly. But because the actual video was flashing more rapidly than the video could record, I didn't get a full blast of the flashing. But even just the recording made me a bit dizzy. Before I watched it, I was so afraid I would get a seizure or something.
     
    I watched it before. I didn't feel funny, but I was scared the whole time. Strobelights make me feel funny though.. But they do to everybody I know that goes through them with me

    also I get paranoid because my mom has epileptic seizures, but she got it from a car wreck so I'm pretty sure it's not hereditary.. but I still get paranoid XD

    But I'm not really worried. she gets seizures randomly, and I never have even been close ^^; anyway, the eppy didn't make me feel funny, so I was glad =D

    watched it, it would be annoying to watch a lot of the flashing but I didn't get scared or anything like that, though if someone suspects they have epilepsy, they shouldn't watch it, it's not worth a risk like that
     
    I have it on my computer, actually. Like I heard someone state a few years before, the whole episode itself was actually very bright. o_O The vid I have though is bad quality, so it doesn't really have the effect a good quality vid would probably have, so no seizures for me. :)

    The only bad thing is that the subs don't match up very well in my vid. << But other than that, it was a good episode. :3

    The episode was rather unique. Ash and co go into the digital world to fix the transport system, stop Team Rocket and trying to out-maneuver an anti-virus program.

    The one I have should be near VHS quality and though it didn't have any effect on me it is really anoying to see it. If the animators put one big bright flash, or just leave it at an explosion instead it would look better imo. Why they went for a rapid flashing, is beyond me.

    But yeah, if in doubt I strongly discourage of watching this episode. Go look voor screencaps and an episode summary instead. Like Tokinoone said, it's not worth the risks.
     
    Oh yeah, it's quite cool. But seriously, did they HAVE to put in red and blue flashing millions of times that quickly? It kills my eyes

    You won't get it my watching it on computer (YouTube definatly) the refresh rate isn't quick enough or something on moniters.
     
    I dont have the whole episode. Just a clip off of it from google video. It made me feel funny but I dont have that epilipsy thing. But because it caused many in Japan to have seizures I got nervous and covered my eyes from every single flash. Err thats a little embarissing though...:embarrass

    It's not embarassing. I wouldn't even bother with this episode. But the other banned episodes, I would watch those.
     
    Pokemon Anime people are SO stupid, they should just cut that flashing scene instead of the full episode. If those Naruto people and others can cut the violent scenes for the english version, why can't they, They can even give it to me to cut that scene.

    Ehh.. Lots of seisure inducing moments in that episode. Flashes like every 5 seconds... I don't suffer from epilepsy (as far as I know), but... Dang, the flashing gave me a headache...

    Well, its been almost 10 years (more or less) since the episode was made. Why would they decide to do that now?
     
    I had read once that 4Kids Entertainment actually dubbed the episode in english, and also toned down the flashing strobelight effects, but still didn't air it again anyways. I'd like to find out if that's really true, since it'd be a lot easier to watch it in english. I do have a script of the episode, but that's not the same thing. =P
     
    They couldnt have. The dub happened well after that episode and the Japanese government deemed it to risky and dangerous. You're probably thinking of Legend of Dratini which was dubbed, but never released due to the gun in the episode. I'm amazed that there still are copies of this episode since all of them were thought to be destroyed. I've seen it and I got a headache, but it was a good episode. I think Prof. Akibara should have been Bill like how it is in the games. Really, with all the special effects they do now, they could re-do the episode with 3-d non-strobing effects which would make it look good. And not kill people.

    Ledgend of Dratini is the one where the safari warden threatens to shoot Satoshi right?
