    Announced special Pokemon for completing specific Pokedexes in the mobile version of Home. Begins with shiny Meloetta for completing the Paldea, Kitakami, and Blueberry Academy Pokedexes. Do you plan to complete any of these? Does it depend on what you get?

    Will probably not bother with these because of how finicky it is. Requires you to deposit a Pokemon from that specific area, not just any old Pokemon. Needs to catch a Hatenna in mainland Paldea AND Kitakami, for example.

    Might do Sword/Shield if the reward is good. Filled in a good chunk of that already.
     
    Needing all the repeat dex entries sounds annoying tbh. I got living dexes in both SwSh and SV but I did not catch repeat dex entries for each area. Could toss them all into Home to see what remains... though I think I might already have done so as I swapped both from one game to the other iirc.

    Is this time sensitive with needing to complete it before a certain date or not?
    If it is I'm probably not getting around to it. Busy with other stuff atm =P
     
    I'm pretty excited since it's the first time shiny Meloetta was released! I do like that there's a "task" to get it instead of a distribution and that there's not a deadline. I'm pretty close to having those 3 dexes complete in home, so luckily I don't think it will be particularly tedious. I picked up a copy of Scarlet recently (my original play throughs were on Violet,) so I'm thinking of catching those remaining Pokémon in Scarlet as a reason to go ahead and play through it.

    Not a spoiler. Announced it in Pokemon Home. Previously gave you nothing. Feel free to discuss it as much as you want.

    Listed no expiration date on this. Technically becomes unavailable once the service shuts down. Could be years from now, though.
     
    Today I checked my Pokemon Home regional Dex for SV and it's DLC's just to see how complete it was. I had no real intention of doing this today, but my dexes were surprisingly complete:
    -Paldea was missing only Ditto.
    -Kitakami was fully complete.
    -Blueberry needed Alolan Sandslash, Alolan Vulpix/Ninetales, Torterra, infernape, Prinplup.

    7 mons away from a shiny Meloetta. And Ditto is just vibing in my boxes so I only need to go catch 6. So uh.... Yeah, I just went and did exactly that and evolved them as necessary.

    I then looked at SwSh and saw that across all 3 dexes I don't even have 100 registered lmao.
    I do have a living dex in Sword though, but I guess I might've banked in a lot of Pokemon? Or perhaps I tossed them over from Shield to Sword before it kept track of the DLC dexes. Idk.

    I got mine yesterday! I had most of the dexes complete anyways and all I needed was just a day or two's work to catch some stuff in Kitakami and breed the starters. I remember not really enjoying using Pokemon HOME but this brought me back and I spent most of the time organizing my entire collection. It really made me remember both how much I enjoyed playing Violet despite the performance issues, and how much I love filling out a Pokedex, I missed both. My bf's favourite Pokemon is Meloetta so I wanted to nab this for him and do it as soon as possible so I wouldn't forget.
     
    I'll likely pass, I have most of the S/V base regional dex filled in, but none of the DLC Pokemon; and I don't want shiny Meloetta badly enough to deal with all that. Will still pick it up if I just happen to complete it later though, since I'm under the impression the promotion doesn't have a deadline.
