    In my SoulSilver game, I have been training up the pseudo-legendaries, trying to complete my Pokédex. In the process, I've come across some Pokémon that I originally thought were pseudo-legendary which apparently aren't. I looked them up on Bulbapedia, and found that I'm not the only one that confuses them. So, I wanted people's opinions on this. What pokemon do you think should be psuedo-legendary, and why? The ones I can see that are commonly brought up are:

    Non-Pseudo-Legendary that should be:
    Aron-> Lairon-> Aggron
    Trapinch-> Vibravia-> Flygon
    Slakoth -> Vigoroth -> Slaking

    Legendary that should be downgraded:
    Heatran

    Opinions?

    By its proper definition, a Pseudo-legendary is a non-legendary that, at its full evolution, has a Base Stat Total of 600. These are usually caught very late in the game, but do not have to be.

    Aggron has a BST of 530.
    Flygon has a BST of 520.
    Slaking has a BST of 670.
    Heatran is a legendary.

    Yes, which is why they are not pseudo-legendary. Because they don't fit the definition. Also, the definition includes it being part of a 3-stage line.

    Personally, I'd love it if Heatran was given 2 pre-evos and retconned as a pseudo-legendary. Because personally, I don't train legendaries. It takes all the fun away when it's just about EV training and Heart Scales.

    I'm pretty sure the term came about because dragonite and Tyranitar appeared after some legendaries in the Pokédex and before others.

    Gen III then messed with the formula but the name stuck since they were so similar. And Gen IV stretched it again. It wasn't meant to be 'really powerful' or something.
