Yellow hack: Pokémon Pink 'n Purple: Hatenna & Sneasel Edition

Pokémon Pink 'n Purple: Hatenna & Sneasel Edition replaces the following Pikachu with Hatenna and Sneasel, respectively. All associated sprites, graphics, text, and sounds for Pikachu have also been edited to represent Hatenna and Sneasel. This hack stays faithful to the original, with only minor changes to the gameplay for convenience. It's quite literally "Pokémon Yellow, but with a Hatenna/Sneasel".

This ROM hack was inspired by Pokémon Yellow: Cramorant Edition.

New features/QoL changes

• HM moves can be forgotten at any time.
• Pressing start while in the bag now sorts items.
• Psychic is now weak to Ghost
• Trade evolutions have been removed and Haunter, Graveler, Machoke & Kadabra can now be evolved with the Link Cable. The Link Cable is available in the Celadon Department Store.
• Several Pokémon have had stat increases.
• Several moves have had increases to their Base Power, Accuracy and/or Typing.
• New moves have been added for Ghost, Dragon and Bug.
• All Pokémon with the exception of Mew are obtainable legitimately.
• Gym leaders have been given different teams per version and have had their movesets improved
• All Pokémon now have slightly better learnsets

Nah they don't evolve at all. Hatenna has had a stat buff across the board tho, to keep it viable throughout the entire game

this hack looks fire! though, i just checked the changelog and it looks like hatenna is way weaker than the normal pokemon despite already having buffs to its stats, like as a starter that can't evolve similar to pikachu, being weaker than stuff like pidgeotto just makes it kinda unusable

In my own experiences it held up pretty well, but if more people share this opinion I'll give it a few more stat boosts. I don't wanna make it too strong, because buffing the special also makes it tankier.

Hey is it possible to catch the other pokemon in the opposite game like getting a Hattena in Purple version and Sneasel in Pink? And same note are wild hattena and Sneasel available in wild to evolve?

No, you can't catch them in the other version. There are no wild Sneasel or Hatenna, but I might consider that (very very maybe)

I only ask cause the hyper nerd in me wants to see a totally complete dex with bothof their full evo fams

since this game is inspired by the cramorant edition hack, I wonder if a CD player item or similar key item will be added into future versions of Pink 'n Purple: Hatenna & Sneasel Edition, where it allows playing & listening to the music tracks (aka. sound/music test) - the cd player item was included in v1.2 of cramorant edition

Currently not, but I think that's a cool thing to implement
