[PokeCommunity.com] Pokémon Masters Thoughts and Predictions
What kinds of details did we see and predictions can we make about the upcoming Pokémon Masters game based on the recent trailer? In this article, we go over all sorts of factors that could influence the final product!

I wonder if trainers will have the ability to sync pair with different species of Pokémon? So Brock would be able to sync with both the Geodude and Onix line (despite Jasmine likely being the one to get Steelix, like you mentioned). Honestly, maybe they'll be able to have the same mons as others? What reason really would there be for the trainers to use a Pokémon exclusive to them? Would be cool if you could pair both Hilbert and Nate with Oshawott, and I think that would give creators much more freedom to stay true to canon teams. Though of course it makes sense to draw the conclusion that they don't use the same party member as any others given Red doesn't have Pikachu, but what if they could pair up with multiple other different Pokémon beyond who they are advertised with that are in line with their teams in the games?

    Awesome article 👍

The video made it seem like sync pairs were a Trainer with one specific Pokémon, but the ability to change their Pokémon could really solve a lot of potential issues--I've seen some discourse as to what Pokémon N would get, because giving him one of Reshiram or Zekrom would be "favoring one canon over the other" (although the anime and merchandise thus far certainly favors one over the other...) leading to most people believing he'll just get Zoroark or maybe even Darmanitan. It would also be really ideal to be able to pick your favorite protagonist and give them the starter of your choice.

Being able to switch sync pairs somehow could really spice up the game and add more strategy to battles, too. I truthfully wouldn't mind if rolling for a different partner Pokémon was the only gacha element so long as each Trainer was guaranteed through grinding (as Masters aims to focus on the Trainers mostly).

And thanks! I'm glad you like it!
