Welcome to a familiar adventure but with a new twist, It's Mario Time!
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokémon Fury Red (Mario Dexswap)

Go through Pokémon Fire Red but now with all 151 Pokémon replaced with Mario Characters and Baddies with new Movesets, types, abilities and stats.

This rom hack uses the Complete Fire Red Upgrade as base by Ghoulslash to moves, abilities and type charts up to gen 8 are added, they deserve major shout outs for making rom hacks be more open.

Hey! I just saw the Reddit post about this hack.

The idea is phenomenal and the sprites look decent (I mean, I'd have to let them grow on me over time) I can appreciate the effort behind this project and want to thank you for sharing :)

Now, being painfully and brutally honest... I think the battle backgrounds doesn't necessarily"match" the sprites, y'know what i'm sayin'?

Nevertheless that doesn't detract from this amazing project, so congrats on release and see you around :)

Really loving this hack so far! Maybe you can provide documentation on this sometime, including a Pokedex. Also, any recommendations on where and how to grind levels?
A full Documate showing every Mons stats, location, Abilities etc, should come out at some point, likely next week.
As for grinding using the VS Seeker you normally get in Vermilion City and rematching trainers is probably(?) the best way to grind of for levels

Great work! The sprites are very well done, good mix of mons in the different environments. A couple of points of feedback. Using MyBoy has been smooth, the only but I found was a weird visual stutter walking from Viridian city up to the forest.

In the pokedex, there are a few spelling errors, nothing major, but species is spelled as speices in a few places.

    For suggestions,
-if possible, speeding up gameplay in general by like 10% and setting default text speed to fast would be excellent QoL.
-CactusJack having rough skin makes for a brutal start for anyone picking the Water starter--possble rebalance?
-Some of the really early mons could probably evolve 2-5 levels earlier, but other balancing looks awesome!

Really enjoying this one, and will definitely be following the progress

EDIT: I did find a bug, registering items with select doesn't work currently. If you register 1 item, and press select, it shows a random drink (fresh water, soda, lemonade) but pressing A on "Exit" uses the registered item. If you register 2 or more items, only the first registered item can be selected, and only by choosing EXIT

I am currently in Mt Moon and having a really fun time. The sprites are all very charming (I show my wife all the new little idiots I collect) and I appreciate that they're not just reskins of existing Pokémon. They have their own personality and moveset to go with them.

I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this. Great job!

The real question is if there are rare candies for like Nuzlockers or not

will there be a doc with the shinies incase people don't find any??? or are there no shinies
I'll likely include what the shinies look like, due to the shiny odds being about the same as modern Pokemon the chance of someone finding one is very low

The real question is if there are rare candies for like Nuzlockers or not
    Likely not

Found a bug where no pokemon appear on the water
That's intentional, I thought running into so many Pokemon when trying to surf would get annoying fast so I just removed surfing encounters.

idk if this is supposed to happen but Blitty's pickup ability is giving the item to the other members in my party
Apperently Modern Pickup just works like that if any Pokemon has Pickup in the party so luckily isn't a bug.

Really enjoyed my first play through! Is there any chance the exp share can be obtainable earlier or easier? I wanna replay a few times with different teams but don't wanna catch 50+ mons in order to get the exp share

Small question - do the moves use the current physical/special split? Or is it split by type as it did normally in Gen 3?

Maybe I'll see about moving the EXP Share to Mt.Moon but don't super count on it

    Current Physical Split

Also a Doc has been added to give info to every Pokemon, feel free to view if you need some extra help or want to know where a specific mon is. Have fun!

I've noticed a bug with the three Fishing Brothers. I met the first one and got the Good Rod, but then the other two didn't give me another rod. They said they'd give me 5 Dive Balls and the Super and Good Rods respectively.

I got refilled back to 5 Dive Balls after having previously used one or two instead of getting a full 5 new Dive Balls.

I also do not have either the Old Rod or the Super Rod. Just the Good Rod I got initially.

V1.2 Released, it will likely be the last update for awhile unless any big issues come up with the update.
Thanks y'all for the support of Fury Red and keep an eye out for more dex swap hacks in the future by other passionate developers, I feel like this year will be the year of Pokemon Dexswap hacks by the community.
