    Hello and welcome trainers!
Have you ever had the thought "It's strange that this pokeman doesn't have this specific second typing"? Well so have I! I did something I never thought I would do and took the time to work on hacking Emerald and giving every single Pocket Monster a second type.
Some of these changes are definitely subjective, as I tried to be creative with some of these typings. Some of them will seem obvious, some will... need some imaginative stretching. But you are more than welcome to question the choices! I went with what I deemed the most fun if the answer wasn't as obvious. But with these changes, of course the rest of the game had to change as well. Boss battles and encounters had to reflect these changes, which lead to a new take on Emerald that allows a lot of different potential teams.
I most likely will not release updates to this game unless there is a game breaking bug or something similar. I finished what I set out to do and I believe that is enough to be proud of. As someone who has been training Pokémon from such a young age, this has been immensely fun and rewarding to work on. Maybe down the line I will do another rom with this theme. Or maybe someone else will be inspired by this work and create their own. What matters is that we are having fun!
Thank you for giving this a read and play. I can't wait to see what you all think and what teams you ended up bringing to the Hall of Fame.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Pokémon Dual-Type Emerald

This is literally the first Pokémon you can see the type of starting the game

(Yes I checked other starters yes I've seen Grass/Dragon Treecko but considering the entire premise is 'every Pokémon has two types' two thirds of the starters just not doing that feels like one hell of an oversight to me)

Thank you for catching something I did not! This is my first time working on something like this, if it wasn't obvious. I believe the file didn't save correctly before uploading, so the current patch in the download link is correct.

    Thank you for your patience!

can you make it that it show ev and iv its very helpful keeping track you can check out in pokemon perfect emerald (great romhack)

I do have a question. Do you hate the Gen 1 and 3 Grass starters? Swampert gets Drizzle and Blaziken gets friggin Pure Power and all Sceptile gets is Immunity when it wouldn't be against a poison type at all. Venusaur gets Stench when it won't be outspeeding a lot of things to even make use of it. My personal opinion, Venusaur should've been given Drought, makes as much sense as Swampert getting Drizzle, and Sceptile should get Shaprness if you ever decide to add in abilities, if not it should get Intimidate, Shed Skin, or Thick Fat at least to give it some usage. Not trying to sound rude but it just seems unfair that the Gen 1 and 3 Grass starters get shafted with their abilities while their fire and water counterparts get great abilities.

I have a question. Are you sure Tyrogue is in the one patch of grass north of the Battle tent in Slateport? I have probably gone through at least 100 encounters of other pokémon and have not found Tyrogue. Thanks.
