The Crystal Kaizo+ Christmas Patch (ck+xp) is a difficult, highly customized 4 badge experience based on Crystal Kaizo+ (which itself is based on Crystal Kaizo (which itself is based on Crystal)). The game was designed to be played with a hardcore nuzlocke ruleset, though the game does not enforce this and it can be played in a variety of ways. It contains a plethora of quality of life features and a custom map based on Crystal Kaizo+'s Johto but in the winter. The map is full of charm and overworld puzzles to challenge you within the winter spirit. The base mechanics remain unchanged from Crystal Kaizo+. Fight for fight, the game's 57 trainers are harder, and significantly more interesting than Crystal Kaizo+. It is worth noting that, despite the name of the hack, it is a self contained unique game, and not an update to Crystal Kaizo+.

• Gen 2 mechanics
• 57 hand-crafted highly difficult trainer battles with many unique mechanical interactions and gimmicks
• Many unique overworld puzzles including custom mechanics
• 6 different colors for both trainer genders, which can be changed at the home PC
• A modern, Gen 3 style PC interface
• HMs like Cut, Flash, and Surf can be used without being taught to Pokemon
• HMs can be forgotten at any time
• A custom trainer card with intended level caps (18, 32, 45, 59)
• Portable PC accessible anywhere except gauntlets
• Toggleable Repellent
• Restore Kit for healing Pokemon out of battle (and PP outside of gauntlets)
• Candy Bag and Training Kit for leveling up and edging Pokemon
• NPCs in every Poke Center to pre-status Pokemon
• A teleport NPC in every town to teleport you to towns you've visited before
• The PokeGear can be used to change the in game clock with the up and down buttons
