Pokémon 6th Gen (?)

    Apprently this music was played at some pokémon thing?
    The channel it was put on, on youtube claims it's the 6th generation pokémon trainer theme...

    What are your thoughts? Is it just a one off piece of music?. .. Or have nintendo decided to scrap a 3rd game and R/S remakes for the time being?

    Also, what is your opinions on the picture with the Red look alike?
     
    Since Generation VI is at least a couple years away, it's unlikely that anything, even just the music, will have been created or confirmed for the games. Even if it had been, it wouldn't be announced this far in advance. The music may be for another Generation V game, but it likely is fan-made. The whole thing is probably like the "5th Generation Pokemon" videos on YouTube containing all fan-made Pokemon, and therefore fake.
     
    It was played at a gaming convention by the nintendo musicians, they were playing other pokémon music at the time.
    From your responses it could just be a one off thing.
     
    The only source apprently is a link in the video description to a nintendo employee's blog or something, I talks about music ...
     
    I didn't see anything in the blog that stated it was for 6th Generation. Probably just some bit he came up with that has no relation to future games. If this was any bit legitimate don't you think we would have heard more about a demo that was released literally a month ago? I have see none of the major pokemon news outlets i.e. Serebii, Bulbapedia, or Pokebeach give any mention to this said demo.
     
    OOOOhhh!! I like it! Nice! But it may not be for 6th gen, maybe for a remake? I would guess an AWESOME NEW REMAKE. BOOYAH.
     
    Yeah, I'm betting this has nothing to do with anything. But because this is relating to a possible new game, I'm gonna kick this over to PGC.
     
    It's nice but there is no source and besides the fifth generation is only a year old in Japan and not even a year old in Japan.

    I'm pretty sure nothing about 6th Gen will be released this early...
     
    Oh yes this is definitely true, my Dad works for Game Freak and he told me so.
    All those videos where people take Fakemon from Google and claim them to be 6th gen Fakemon are true too.
     
    General rule of thumb is that if it's on youtube and no other site is mentioning it, it's fake.

    This is not an exception to that. Neither were previous claims of 'new gen!' or 'new Pokemon/game/etc' that were made on youtube.
     
    I'm going to hop on the bandwagon and say that video is fake - based on the fact that it's on youtube and no other credible sources. it's not 6th generation Pokémon - it's far too early. I don't enjoy the music either, it just sounds weird.
     
    The music is lovely, but it sounds more of a wild battle than a trainer battle. Usually I would be against this type of gaming look for a pokemon handheld, but I'm pleased with it even though the quality isn't that good. Seeing the pokeball item on the top right and the waterfall behind it makes me think of all the different land properties pokemon has come by. Maybe the ledges will be more lifelike xD more than just 2 inches off of the ground lol. So if this is a possible future for pokemon, I can't wait :]
     
    0:19-0.29 sounds like part of the D/P/Pt trainer theme, albeit a heavily modified version.
