3rd Gen Please help a beginner - Blue Sea Edition, GBA Sp

    Hello all,

    I received a GBA SP for Christmas, along with a few games, one of them being Pokemon blue sea edition. I have been playing for hours, building up my number of pokemon, and their strength etc, however I really feel I'm stuck!

    The professor said his assistant had HM for me (whatever that is) but I can't seem to find anyone who has anything for me.

    In the museum, charmander was given the gift of seismic toss, but I can't find that anywhere in his profile.

    How can I cut down trees?

    I have a few characters in the level 20 - is this not high enough? When I go to the gym, I get 'spat out' again.

    How can I break down the rock in front of that mansion, and on top of that pyramid?

    How can I get the boulder badge (is this only by beating brock in the gym?) Well as I said I get spat out.

    I seem to have exhausted all further opportunities to advance, and all google searches I have done seem to only show pokemon blue or red. I assume that the blue sea edition is different?

    If anyone could give me a few pointers I'd be v. grateful.

    Oh, and should I have tried to catch one of the 'ghastly' pokemon in the museum?

    I also want to be able to pick up things, but there doesn't seem to be an option - e.g. the map in the first city, and I think it was amber or something in the museum.

    Also, I assume I'm supposed to find a pikachu so that I can swap with that one kid in the pokemon centre for something else?

    Please, if you can, give me a hint or two and put me out of my misery......... :)

    Blue sea? That doesn't sound like an official=real game.
    What do you mean with "spat out"? Yes, you get the badge by beating Brock. Cutting down trees isn't possible until you've gotten another badge.

    Your problems could be due to bugs in the hack, which this probably is. In that case, there might not be any way to solve them. The real games are called LeafGreen and FireRed.

    When I walk into the gym, there's that man who says he can teach me whatever, and then when I walk forward into the gym I get swept into the black, and then swept out again without meeting anyone.

    I don't know if it is an official game or not, I received it as part of a pack of 10 games that came with the machine. So do you think it's pointless continuing with this game?

    I'll see if I can get a copy of the leafygreen or firered on ebay.

    All the images seem like the ones that I get, and to be honest the game seems really professional - especially the graphics, but everyone refers to a hack, so I suppose it must be. Because the graphics are so good I thought the game was really clever and the clues were just too cryptic for me, but after looking at a bit of that thread it must be a bad copy.... How annoying....

    Well no it's not an official game, it's a hack made by *Neos*. I think he put it on hold. Anyways, some people take hacks and put them on an empty cartridge and sell them on ebay. Which is probably how you got this game.
    It's kinda pointless continuing since it isnt fully completed and the hack has been stopped for quite awhile.

    I am currently playing LG and Bluesea Edition.Well,I am not playing that for few times but I am ready to entertain or ask questions.First,capturing Gastly in musuem,don't ever think so,I didn't meet it while walking around.Smashing rocks?Use Rock Smash,but you will be get the HM later.But I warn you,you can't continue and complete Mewtwo and Sapphire( you need to battle with Team Rocket Grunts in Ice Fall cave,but the Rockets acted nothing like non-living things).The Aerodactyl fossil(amber) you can't have it.My LG and BS are cartridges that only contained one game.My LG is not a hack,but if somebody gives me steps for capturing Suicune.(posted in a thread a few days ago,someone helped me a lot)

    ei..you must not be in a hurry when heading to the gym..

    try to step 3 cells forward starting from the second cell from the left..its a maze..invisible maze..dont try to think that blue seal is a hack..

    Yep, they are all hacks.
    It's easy to get confused because they tend to look real.

    Quartz is a completed hack with fake pokemon.
    Shiny Gold is a Gold remake, it's almost complete and is probably the most famous hack out there.

    The others I haven't heard of.
