PKMN Scarlet: Evolving Level 100 Bisharp into Kingambit?

Good evening, I have a level 100 Bisharp I transferred from Home to Scarlet and am wondering if I either have bad luck or if it's even possible to evolve it. I heard you can evolve level 100 Pokémon with a rare candy but that method doesn't seem to work in this case for my Bisharp. Please any help would be appreciated.

You can evolve any Pokémon at level 100. To evolve your level 100 Bisharp, simply have it defeat three wild Bisharp leading a pack of Pawniard. You can easily find groups of them in North Province: Area Two. Afterwards, give it a Rare Candy and it will evolve.
