I am thinking about framing the complete base set of pokemon cards but cant seem to find any info on it. I was thinking something I can hang in a picture frame. Any ideas

If you wanted to frame them in a regular frame, you would certainly have to get a custom frame made with an indented backing for them to sit in. That would be pretty costly, and there is no guarantee that they will stay in good shape that way just because picture frames are not made for that sort of thing. You can get large screw-down plastic card holders from Ultrapro, I think the most they hold is 9 at a time but definitely safer in terms of keeping the condition. The only thing is that you can't put them all into one frame, but you could have several (you would need about 11 nine-card holders) mounted on the wall. I looked into getting some framed, but ended up with these hanging Ultrapro cases, it just wasn't worth the cost of regular framing and I was paranoid about them getting acid and dust in them.

I've seen huge picture frames that hold I think 2x4 pictures with at leat 12-15 spots per frame.

Sure there are frames with enough space, the thing is you would have to get them to custom make a backing with card-sized indents, and custom work is always expensive. Not to mention the fact that they may not be acid-free, which is why I still recommend going with a card-specialty brand like Ultrapro for framing.
