Hey everyone, I was working on my new Metagross team and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on movesets and e.vs.

Here's what iv'e got so far.

    Metagross-tank(probably agiligross)
Meteor Mash, Ice Punch, Zen Headbutt, Agility
    Mamoswine-phys' sweeper
Ice Shard, Ice Fang, Stone Edge, Earthquake
    Salamence-phys' sweeper
Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, Crunch, Fire Fang
    Umbreon-Trap Passer/support
Wish, Baton Pass, Mean Look, Toxic
Scizor Baton Pass(most likely Iron Defense)
Swords Dance, Bullet Punch, Baton Pass, X-Scizzor
    Vaporeon-support passer (aqua ring,wish,acid armor)
Aqua Ring, Baton Pass, Wish, Acid Armor
Also, the last four are just ideas. The'yre replaceable, but Metagross and Mamoswine are here to stay.

Well, for Metagross i'd recommend the following moves:
    Protect
    Explosion
    Rock Climb
    Meteor Mash

one idea, Meteor mash and Rock climb for normal attacks, protect for fire type enemies and explosion for a last resort.

dont believe me? read my signiture

We need EV's, otherwise its a bit harder for people to rate your team.

as for the moveset above, its... not that great. Rock Climb? lol.

    Metagross

    112 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def / 132 Spe
    Aglility
    Meteor Mash
    Earthquake
    T-Punch/Ice Punch/Explosion

    ^Standard Agiligross moveset ^_^

I agree, rock climb is nice base power for the chance to confuse but in competitive play its just meh... nothing special.
you seem to be relying alot upon poke's weak to taunt

Rock climb takes advantage of its attack stat, it has 10% confusion chance, and its a strong move. EVs would be 252Attack 252Speed and 4hp. Higher speed surprises people as it can outspeed many, and attack REALLY boosts meteor mash and rock climb
    You'd really put a 90 BP/85% acc Normal-type attack over a 100 BP/acc Ground-type attack? Agilgross won't get past any Steel/Rock types if you do.

Really? A-lright then, your Metagross is flawed.

For a Metagross, what is it you want it to be? Do you want it to be a tank? Sweeper? or just a hard hitter. You have to think of the role your pokemon will play in the team before picking and choosing. Seeing as you say you want it to be a tank, you should use this set up:

    Metagross @Leftovers
    Ability: Clear Body
    EV's: 252 HP / 244 Def / 12 Speed
    Impish Nature (+Def, -SpA)
    -Meteor Mash
    -Earthquake
    -Light Screen
    -Explosion
(Light Screen boosts your Special Defense, seeing as Metagross's Special Defense is overshadowed by your Defense. Meteor Mash and Earthquake utilizes Metagross's amazing attack stat to do as much damage as possible, and Explosion is a last chance tactic to take out something your worried he wont be able to handle himself.)

Or, if you want to suprise people, and/or replace your suicide lead go with a Trickgross:
    Metagross @Choice Scarf
    Ability: Clear Body
    EV's: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Speed
    -Trick
    -Meteor Mash
    -Explosion
    -Stealth Rock
(Now the function of this Metagross is to be a lead. Use Trick on the first turn to switch your Choice scarf to the other leads, to incapacitate them (such as stealth rockers and such) and then set up your own Stealth Rock on the switch out, then you can follow with Meteor Mash, or an explosion or Meteor Mash)

As for the rest of your team, you want to build a Niche, what your team is doing. Do you want power, or strategy. By what youve Suggested i think this set up would do awesome:

    *image removed*
    Azelf @Focus Sash
    Naive Natured
    Ability: Levitate
    EV's: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Speed
    -Stealth Rock
    -Fire Blast
    -Explosion
    -Taunt
(This lead helps cover your overwhelming weakness to fire and fighting attacks. Its a normal Azelf lead. Send it out, Taunt to incapacitate the other leads, set up your Stealth Rock. Fire Blast covers common switch ins to Azelf, and Explosion is a final way out to do as much damage as possible. If it suits your style, you can switch Explosion out for U-Turn, for scouting.)

    *image removed*
    Scizor @Leftovers
    Adamant Natured
    Ability: Technician
    EV's: 248 HP / 88 Atk / 172 Speed
    -Baton Pass
    -Swords Dance
    -Roost
    -Bullet Punch/Iron Defense/Substitute
(Now, you wanted a Baton Pass Scizor right? Well this is the best set up. Its not common to pass Defensive boosts alone, so i modified this set alittle. Swords Dance is there to pass on either one or two attack boosts, Roost to take off damage if you want more boosts, Bullet Punch is a viable option, because if your Scizor gets taunted it will be completely useless and you would have to switch out, and with boosted attack and the technician ability, BP will do alot of damage, even resisted. If you want a pure baton passer, Iron Defense for Defensive boosts, or Sub to pass it on aswell.)

    *image removed*
    Umbreon @Leftovers
    Careful Natured
    Ability: Synchronize
    EV's: 252 HP / 92 SpD / 164 Speed
    -Mean Look
    -Baton Pass
    -Wish
    -Protect/Toxic
(Normal trap passer. Mean look to catch them in, wish to heal damage and baton pass to pass it along, possibly to your scizor so you can trap something there thats easy to set up on. Protect is there if you want to scout out moves, and Toxic is viable for extra damage.)

    *image removed*
    Starmie @Choice Specs
    Timid/Modest Natured
    Ability: Natural Cure
    EV's: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Speed
    -Surf/Hydro Pump
    -Thunderbolt
    -Ice Beam
    -Trick/Psychic
(A Choice Specs sweeper. Surf or Hydro pump is up to you, accuracy or damage. Thunderbolt and Ice Beam are for coverage. Trick is viable if you want to incapacitate an counters like Blissey or Snorlax, but Psychic is there for more coverage. Another viable option for a Starmie in this team is a Rapid Spinner, which would be good to get rid of entry hazards.)

    *image removed*
    Mamoswine @Life Orb
    Adamant/Jolly Natured
    Ability: Snow Cloak
    EV's: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Speed
    -Earthquake
    -Ice Shard
    -Stone Edge
    -Ice Fang/Superpower
(A Physical Mamoswine. Earthquake is a powerful STAB attack when coming from a Mamoswine and dents anything that doesnt resist it. Ice Shard is a good, as it will help Mamoswine pick off faster attackers, especially those pesky dragon types. Stone edge for coverage on those flying types that negate ice damage (Gyarados anyone?) and the last slot is your choice, Ice Fang for higher damage than Ice Shard, or Superpower for coverage (OHKOing the likes of Blissey and Snorlax, and seriously denting one of mamoswines most known counters, Bronzong)

    *image removed*

Thats what i offer. And for rating your team, next time try to put more information ;) I hope i helped
*Edit* Eh... you edited as i was making the post. Use my suggestions if you want or not. :P I dont feel like changing my post.

well, ive gotten lucky with confusion and i do agree that earthquake would be a good alternative, but its up to Tyrant626 of weather he wants a confusion attack or a 100 power earth attack.

oh well, i guess KOing a lv 100 registeel with rock climb isnt good, however i did have STAB...

Mamowine wants Superpower > Ice Fang so it can OHKO Blissey and Snorlax (none of its other attacks will :( )

Put Fire Blast > Fire Fang on Salamence and give it 232 Atk / 252 Spe / 24 SpAtk @ Naive Nature. Fire Blast 2HKO's or OHKO's every steel (besides heatran) and Fire Fang is horrible against Skarmory and Bronzong who can wall you all day.

Umbreon is pretty "meh". I would use Tyranitar and put it in the lead position, in case you don't know here is the set:

    Tyranitar @ Leftovers/Chesto Berry/Lum Berry (your call)
    252 HP / 36 Atk / 220 Def
    Adamant Nature
    -Payback
    -Stealth Rock
    -Rest
-Stone Edge / Superpower / Earthquake (again, your call)

Bulky, strong and reliable. Makes a great lead and can deal with a majority of common leads.

Make Scizor standard SD imo, since Baton Pass is pretty "meh" and Gliscor makes a better passer anyway.

    Scizor @ Life Orb
    Ability Technician
    32 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Spe
    Adamant Nature
    -Swords Dance
    -Bullet Punch
    -Bug Bite
    -Brick Break

Pretty reliable sweeper, Bug Bite gets Tech boost as does Bullet Punch. Powerful dual STAB.

Vaporeon wants Surf/HP Electric/Wish/Protect @ Bold 188 HP / 252 Def / 68 Spe. Pretty good bulky water and a great Gyarados counter.

Also, "lol" @ Rock Climb suggestion.

HEY! rock climb is NOT a bad move, it gets low liking for it being normal and an HM. and also, i dont really prefer superpower for after, it renders your atk or satk useless, (dont remember lol) and and and oh whatever

To be honest, it kind of is. First off, it isn't supereffective against anything, due to its normal type. Second, there are far better moves than 90 BP/85 accuracy. Maybe if you put it on a Snorlax or Ursaring for STAB, but not a Metagross.

EDIT: People don't dislike it because it's an HM (look at Surf/Waterfall)
