Specific move sets/EV builds are not required.

I was challenged to play ORAS but restricted to only using a team of bird Pokemon. So, I need suggestions. These Pokemon have to look like birds. And team balance isn't really a big concern; type weaknesses just makes this more challenging.

    i. Does not necessarily have to be flying type (i.e. Torchic).
ii. Birds can be cross-generation; no legendary birds.
iii. Pokemon with single or multiple evolutions are okay.

So, please suggest a bird or two or six that I should take with me to do this challenge on ORAS. Even if the roster is full, you can suggest more Pokemon or swap outs for current Pokemon.

    The current roster is:
    hoothoot- permanent member
    torchic
    starly
    swablu
    psyduck/archen
    pidgey/skarmory

Staraptor and Talonflame are good choices for a birdspam team. Especially Staraptor, since it gets Close Combat which allows it to smack the Rock and Steel types that birds often have trouble with.

You could also use Blaziken if you want (it is a cock-fighting chicken after all). And there's always Bird Jesus for your Mega Pokemon.

I think I'll put both Blaziken and Staraptor on the team and bypass Talonflame as I've seen enough of him this generation. haha

    Thanks.

Talonflame is superior good in competitive scene; thanks to its ability, it's always able to strike first when using flying-type attacks, giving it an upper-hand. Since we're talking about in-game here, however, I wouldn't recommend you to worry about those kind of things; Talonflame isn't very necessary. It'd be best if you had went along with anything you wish!

For your six team slot, one Pokémon I would suggest looking into is Pidgeot. It's getting a mega-evolution form in ORAS, and carrying it on your party will give you chance of having it tested and whatnot. Judging by its stats, Mega-Pidgeot focuses more on special-based attacks, which it doesn't have much of, sorry to say, but those it does have access to--for example, Ominous Wind, Air Slash, and Heat Wave--are quite decent.

pidgeot gets hurricane too, that's its main selling point :]

    Alrighty, thanks for the input.

I'll look into getting a pidgey ready for my playthrough.
