    Hello everyone,
So, I know this has probably been asked too many times. However, I haven't been able to find any differences between the two versions besides the different pokemon. Does Alpha Sapphire have more levels with water than Omega Ruby? Are the levels with water more interesting and fun? I heard that most of Omega Ruby takes place in a drought, so is there barely any water in the game at all, or do both games have the same amount of water? Which games has the more fun levels, design, and story? Also, which version would you say has the better pokemon selection? I heard Omega Ruby because you get Groudon, who can mega evolve into Primal Groudon. If I don't get Ruby and get Sapphire instead, will it be not too difficult to get Groudon? Thank you all for your insight and advice. It is greatly appreciated!!!!! :)

There are only two differences between the games such as version exclusive pokemon(which kyogre and groudon are) and the villain team. Look at Bulbapedia for full version exclusive list.

There are no differences other than the Pokemon encountered and slight aesthetic changes, such as meeting Kyogre in a water cave and Groudon in a lava cave. There aren't really "levels" so much in Pokemon games as there are puzzles, and they're the same in both games. I would say pick Omega Ruby if you like Groudon better.

There are only 2 big differences! The exclusive Pokémon to each version (For example, Kyogre for Alpha Sapphire, and Groudon for Omega Ruby) and the villian team! Although the 2 appear in both games, you just battle one, because the other is against the one team you battle in the game you are playing! There is Team Aqua, which you battle in Alpha Sapphire and Team Magma, which you battle in Omega Ruby!
There are other mini-differences, but those changes don't matter to much!

As the others said, there's not much differences other than the villainous team and the Pokemon you get to catch. Before deciding which game you want, you should take a look at the list of version exclusive Pokemon and pick the one that has the ones you like better. And remember, you can still get the Pokemon that aren't in your version by asking trade requests for them in our Trade Corner section.

there's no difference in the games except for the team magma and team aqua. also, the pokemon are different to catch. i have alpha sapphire and bf has omega ruby so you could try to find a friend to get the other game so you can trade the pokemon you didn't get!
